Wild Hearts - Feb 21 2023 Patch Notes for Ver 1.0.3

The optimization Patch Ver.1.0.3 was released for Wild Hearts on February 21, 2023. It features a notable fix that address the CPU bottleneck identified by the devs, as well as bug fixes for audio stacking issues and graphical errors on PC.

Wild Hearts has finally received the long-awaited optimization patch for PC on February 21, 2023. In a patch notes post pubished in Reddit, the devs have stated that patch 1.0.3 aims to improve performance for the game on high-end PCs by addressing a CPU bottleneck identified during Wild Heart's early access cycle.

The console patch released on March 1, 2023 alongside Version 1.0.5. The planned patch aims to address similar fixes to both the audio and save file fixes for the Playstation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where certain high-end CPUs were being unintentionally capped. High-end PC’s should see some performance improvements now.
  • Fixed an issue where some sounds were not playing or were being delayed, causing the audio to stack and put a strain on players' CPU. Players should now see performance improvements across the board. The workaround using 5.1/7.1 audio is no longer necessary on PC.
  • Setting default resolution to 16:9 1080p on first boot. The recommended spec for WILD HEARTS is aligned to a 16:9 1080p display, for first time users this will now be the default setting. You can change this setting to the resolution of your choice in-game.
  • Fixed render issue (disco lights) when using an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
  • Fixed an issue on the save/load screen that could result in corrupted save data.

With the EA App still in Beta, some players may run across an issue where clicking the update button on EA App does not download the update. To fix this error, head over to the EA App menu and go to Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache.
