Health Boost
Build Merits The apex build for the Karakuri Katana bolsters with a lot of huge damage boosts at the expense of utility and survivability.

The most important skill in this build is Manifestation Release which adds a huge percentage of damage boost at the expense of faster weapon gauge depletion; this is a worthy trade as it boosts all Katana attacks by 64% or more. The Stock Slash skill mitigates the downside of Manifestation Release by 10%, allowing the unbound form to stay longer. Desperation greatly improves attacks at the expense of receiving more damage, a small percentage is a worthy trade but seasoned players can take this skill at higher percentages.

The armor equipped will focus on adequate boosts on survivability and damage as well as combat utility. Deaf Ears and Sprint Master are the most important skills to get by upgrading the armor to a Pure Kemono-Path as it allows you to stay longer in combat.

To finalize the build, we highly recommend equipping talismans that boost damage and existing skills in the build like Manifestation Release and Savage; while we recommend equipping talisman skills that boost survivability like Health Boost to mitigate the downside of the Desperation skill.

Build Merits This build prioritizes maximizing the Nodachi's raw damage output and providing players with a well-rounded set for dealing with Chapter 5's Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemono.

The Fushitsu-mitama is one of the best raw Nodachis in the game, featuring 1,105 base damage and solid skills like Hawk Eye, Battle Swordsmanship: Attack, and Iai Art. Following our recommended build path further increases the Nodachi's damage output with skills like Charge Boost: Fury and One Stroke: Fury.

Mixing the Garuda, Wayward Brigand, and Draconic sets, and using their Kemono-Path modifications, provides the build with potent utility skills, like Deaf Ears, Resurrection, and Rude Health, while contributing to the Nodachi's damage output with Hawk Eye, One Stroke: Fury, and Battle Spirit.

To round the build out, we recommend using Talismans with damage-boosting skills like Hawk Eye, Desperation, and Double Strike to increase your damage output with the Nodachi.

Health Boost
Build Merits This build provides players with a weapon that can yield high damage outputs and an armor set with high defense and skills that provide damage boost and survivability skills which are perfect against Deeply Volatile Kemono.

The weapon build focuses on the Mountain Felling Giant Blade skill which boosts the attack of the juggernaut blade, the strongest weapon mutation of the Karakuri Staff; stacking two inherited skills of this on top of the 40% inherent skill of the Void Karakuri Staff: Nigi-Hayahi 2 totals to 70% damage boost to the juggernaut blade. Skills like Destruction Art and One Stroke: Fury synergizes well with each other for this build as the high damage output from the juggernaut blade can easily break parts and gain the damage boost from One Stroke: Fury.

Our recommended armor set provides high defense points with elemental resistances to most elements as well as skills that provide damage boosts and combat utility. The most important skills to get from this armor set are Deaf Ears, One Stroke: Fury, and Resurrection, these skills allow players to stay in the fight uninterrupted and deal chunks of damage that synergize with the weapon build.

To round up the build we recommend talisman skills that boost damage and defense as well as Kaleidoscope which prolongs the mutation timer before it resets, allowing players to set up Karakuri for their juggernaut combo.

Health Boost
Build Merits This apex Claw Blade build provides players with a perfect gear set against Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemono. It has high damage boosts and adequate defense boosts that are well enough to avoid being one-shotted by Kemono attacks.

Aerial Strike Fury and Soaring Bird Tutelage are skills that boost attack and defense while mid-air and help with survivability during mid-air combos. Tiger's Den will boost attacks to 5% while making it harder to recover from ailments, however, Rude Health from the Draconic armor pieces can mitigate these side effects.

Desperation at 22% boosts attacks at said percentage but will also foil a player's defense by the same percentage. To lessen the side effects of the Desperation skill, we highly recommend staying airborne to apply the 15% defense from Soaring Bird Tutelage.

Hawk Eye at 20% is one of the most important skills for a Claw Blade build as it boosts attack against Kemono weak spots, ultimately making each Kemono easier to bring down; provided that players can focus-target. While Battle Spirit will further boost a player's attack damage as a Kemono is enraged, making the hunt end faster.

Although our recommended build path is long, it is preferred for the Minakatatomi to stack raw damage percentage instead of Fury and Critical skills that rely on chance, and Savage that only adds a 2 or 3 attack power.

Skills received from the armor pieces provide survivability and skills that mitigate the side effects of Desperation and Tiger's Den. The most important skill to get from the armor set is Deaf Ears which allows players to stay in combat as the skill makes them immune to the effects of any Kemono roar. An additional skill received from the armor pieces is Solar Protection which gives players an attack and defense boost during daytime.

To finalize the build, we recommend getting talisman skills that further boost the attack and defense skills already found in this build. Skills like Hawk Eye, Tiger's Den, and Claw Master will greatly boost aerial targeted attacks against a Kemono, while Health Boost will serve as a good survivability skill and one that can lessen the side effects of Desperation.

(Memento of Minato: Remorse)
Build Merits This build provides players with a perfect gear set against Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemono.

Our build for the Tempest Bow: Skanda will focus on damage boost as well as stamina and utility boosts that prolong the volley shots from the Haya stance, making it possible to stick more arrows on a Kemono to set for an Otoya shot that ultimately leads to more damage. Note that players can also choose another build path, but we recommend this build as it is not too taxing on resources.

Our recommended armor set also provides damage boosts from Desperation, Savage, Solar Protection, and Hawk Eye on top of high defense points and elemental resistances; it also provides stamina boosts that can help prolong the volley shots from Haya stance.

To finalize the build we recommend three specific talismans that boost survivability and damage. Pious Cross: Rosary gives the Resurrection skill for a cost of 40 talisman points which leaves us with 10 points to work with. The Attack Talisman: Cicada and Memento of Minato: Remorse give Desperation and Rude Health respectively for 5 talisman points each; totaling 50 talisman points.

Build Merits This build provides players with a balance of speed, raw damage, and utility for the Cannon, making it an excellent gear set for taking on Chapter 5's Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemono.

The Tempest Cannon: Ano Zenjо̄ offers heavy raw damage and a solid base of Inversion Attack, Speed Heat, and High Spirits, which improve the Cannon's damage output and let it reach the heat threshold faster for empowered Ki Bases. In addition, our recommended upgrade path enhances the weapon's quality of life and damage output even further with Thread Thrift, Volley, and Hawk Eye.

Mixing the Garuda, Draconic, and Wayward Brigand sets, and using their Kemono-Path modifications, provides the build with potent utility skills, like Deaf Ears, Resurrection, and Rude Health, while contributing to the Cannon's damage output with Hawk Eye, Desperation, and Battle Spirit.

To round the build out, we recommend using Talismans with damage-boosting skills like Volley, Desperation, and Hawk Eye to increase your damage output with the Cannon even more.

Build Merits This build provides players with the perfect gear set for hunting Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemono. The build focuses on parry mastery and building the Bladed Wagasa's weapon gauge faster through parries to obtain stronger combos and higher damage outputs.

The weapon build path focuses on stacking skills like Sublime Dance to extend the Bladed Wagasa's weapon gauge timer, Parry Boost: Fury to increase attack damage after a successful parry, and the Bladed Wagasa-specific skill Dodge Master to extend the parry timing for more successful parries.

The armor chosen for this build primarily serves as a complement to the weapon build. An important skill to get is Provocation from the Sable Mara armor, this makes Kemono target players more often giving players more parry opportunities to build their gauge faster.

To finalize the build, we recommend equipping talisman skills like Destruction Art and One Stroke: Fury to boost attack damage after breaking Kemono parts, as well as Provocation to boost the chances of Kemono targeting players. Defense Boost is also recommended as the armor chosen for this build has low defense points.
