Weapons and Armor can be unlocked for crafting by reaching specific content or hunting specific Kemono in Wild Hearts! Read on to see the unlock conditions of each weapon type and armor, as well as how to upgrade them!

How to Craft Weapons and Armor
Unlock Weapons in Minato

 Karakuri Katana |
・ Default weapon of the player. Automatically obtained at the start of the game as the starting weapon. |
 Nodachi |
・This weapon can be unlocked after defeating the Ragetail and taking care of the woman at the start of the game. It can be crafted for 3x Corestone and 100 Gold. |
 Bladed Wagasa |
・This weapon can be unlocked after defeating the Ragetail and taking care of the woman at the start of the game. It can be crafted for 3x Corestone and 100 Gold. |
 Maul |
・This weapon can be unlocked after defeating the Ragetail and taking care of the woman at the start of the game. It can be crafted for 3x Corestone and 100 Gold. |
 Claw Blade |
・Can be unlocked after defeating Earthbreaker. |
 Karakuri Staff |
・Can be unlocked after defeating Earthbreaker. |
 Bow |
・This weapon can be unlocked after defeating the Ragetaill and taking care of the woman at the start of the game. It can be crafted for 3x Corestone and 100 Gold. |
 Cannon |
・Can be unlocked after defeating Earthbreaker. |
Soon after rescuing Natsume, players will be to access the blacksmith forge at the camp. At first, the only weapons that can be forged are Bow, Bladed Wagasa, Maul, and Kaduchi.

Complete Quests at Minato to Unlock More Weapons
To unlock the rest of the weapons in Wild Hearts, players have to defeat the Kingtusk and gain access to Minato. From there, players will have to defeat Earthbreaker that will reward them with the remaining weapons.
How to Beat Kingtusk: Weakness and Drops
Unlock Armor by Hunting Kemono
Armor sets are unlocked when a player successfully hunts a Kemono for the first time. Player will then have to keep hunting the Kemono until they are able to get enough drops to make armor pieces.

How to Upgrade Weapons
Upgrade Weapons at the Forge
To upgrade Weapons, players have to select the weapons option in the forge. From there, players can access the weapon's skill tree and upgrade weapons as they see fit.
Turn the Weapon to its Base Form
Players who want to upgrade a different branch of a skill tree should turn the weapon back into its base form. Pick and choose which skill tree to align with depending on the Kemono being hunted.
