Wild Hearts - All Ailments

Kemono in Wild Hearts are classified by their element which dictates the type of damage they deal and what status ailments they can inflict. Read on to know more about all the elements and status ailments in the game, as well as a complete chart of all Kemono elemental weaknesses to prepare yourself for your next hunt!

There are a total of 5 different elemental attributes in Wild Hearts. They appear in a variety of stats including armor resiliences, weapon damage types, and kemono weaknesses. When preparing for a hunt, make sure to bring the appropriate armor and weapon to both defend against a kemono's attacks and exploit its elemental weaknesses.

PoisonPoison Inflicts a poison DoT (damage-over-time).
Poison will go away after a while.
Fumebeak
Venomglider
AblazeAblaze Inflicts a burn DoT (damage-over-time).
Recover by dodging or by running into water.
Lavaback
Cobalt Lavaback
Emberplume
FatiguedFatigued Inflicts sleep, preventing players from moving until it wears off.
Fatigue will recover over time or when hit by an attack.
Sporetail
Ripclaw
FrozenFrozen Reduces stamina regen.
The status ailment will recover over time.
Icetusk
Deathstalker
EntangledEntangled You will not be able to create Karakuri, although you will still be able to use existing ones.
This status ailment will recover over time.
Amaterasu
Celestial Dragon

Status Ailments are long-lasting effects from a Kemono's attacks. For example, attacks from Lavaback that can set players ablaze while the Deathstalker can reduce stamina regen by triggering a Frozen effect.

There are different ways to heal status ailments from simply waiting to jumping into water. Some armor can even have effects that nullify specific status ailments.
