All-Out Assault deals significant damage at 480% - 520% ATK and a strong chance to disable as it has a high chance to inflict [Fainted] at 50%-70% which can take an enemy out of commission for a turn.

Frontline Charge on the other hand, is a multi-target skill which hits up to 3 enemies and can potentially slow enemies with 50% chance to decrease SPD by 10-20%. However, these two skills have a conditional effect where both debuffs are not guaranteed to effect.

Defensive Position
Level 1 (Unlocks by level 41)
At the start each turn or when Zara is attacked, if her remaining HP percentage falls below 30%, this skill decreases the damage she takes by 20% (cannot be dispelled). At the start of each turn, if her remaining HP percentage is 30% or higher, this skill is dispelled.
Level 2 (Unlocks by level 101)
The decrease in damage she takes becomes 30%.

Defensive Position is a situational skill that can be very helpful for keeping Zara alive in tough battles. However, it's conditional nature means that it won't always be active, and it can be deactivated if her HP recovers.

Witches to Beat Zara

Zara Hard Counters

MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie

Cordie is a hard hitter with a high damage output. She also has a passive skill that has [Unhindered] that turns into a [Debuff Immunity] so even if Zara hits her head-on with her physical damage and her [Fainted] debuff, Cordie can just hit back without any repercussions.

MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera

Primavera is similar to Zara wherein she also attacks the enemy in front of her. She also has a passive skill that gives her a high chance to resist debuffs, which is helpful if Zara inflicts [Fainted] on her.

MementoMori - Fenny IconFenny

Fenny has Jamming Scattershot. This skill disrupts Zara's entire game plan by throwing a wrench into her buffing and debuffing strategies with a high chance to reduce her debuff application and grant Buff Immunity for several turns. Not only that, Fenny packs a punch with Magic Permeator, focusing significant physical damage on Zara, especially at higher skill levels. Fenny's got a trick up her sleeve with Chief Officer Fenny, granting her invisibility under certain conditions to dodge attacks and recover.

MementoMori - Primavera IconPrimavera MementoMori - Merlyn IconMerlyn MementoMori - Cordie IconCordie MementoMori - Amour IconAmour MementoMori - Soltina IconSoltina

Merlyn can dispel Zara's buffs, while Cordie, Amour, and Soltina can deal heavy damage to take her down quickly. Soltina's crowd control skills like Sleep and Fainted can further neutralize Zara. Primavera's buffs can give your team the edge in offense and speed, while Merlyn's heals can keep them in the fight. However, Zara's own high damage output and potential speed can be dangerous. Focus on removing her buffs, prioritize high damage attacks, and use crowd control strategically.

Support-Focused Team

MementoMori - Olivia IconOlivia MementoMori - Sabrina IconSabrina MementoMori - Fenrir IconFenrir MementoMori - Fortina IconFortina MementoMori - Lunalynn IconLunalynn

Sabrina delivers consistent physical damage with critical hits boosted by Olivia. Lunalynn disrupts Zara with debuffs like Silence and Poison, while Fortina provides strong heals and defense buffs for the team. Everyone benefits from Olivia's defense buff and Lunalynn's magic defense buff. Fenrir's dispels can help remove debuffs from your team.

Witches Not To Use Against Zara

MementoMori - Mimi IconMimi

Her bonus attacks depend on defeating enemies, which isn't guaranteed. Feline Waltz's damage buff relies on having buffs from other characters, which might not happen consistently. Dreaming Alley Cat requires Mimi to avoid damage for turns, which is difficult against strong opponents. Dancing Paw-tners depends on the enemy team composition.

MementoMori - Freesia IconFreesia

While her skills offer more well-rounded support with stronger healing and team-wide damage reduction, she still struggles to directly counter Zara's core strategy of buffing herself and debuffing your team. Her reliance on random targeting and lack of tools to directly hinder Zara make her a weak solo counter.

Tips for Beating Zara

Use Characters with Unhindered or Debuff Immunity

Zara can hit characters with her physical damage and Fainted debuff skill. To counter that, use characters with Unhindered or Debuff Immunity like Cordie, Sabrina or Fortina.

Overpower Zara

Zara may have great physical damage which hits good, but there are other characters that offer a higher damage than her like Florence and Cordie.
