A.A. is characterized by three things: Her highly damaging active skills, her ability to heal herself with her second active skill, and her buffed-up basic attacks that scale off her MAG stat. As long as she's alive, she'll be a huge threat to your party because she can easily take out glass cannon witches (like Cordie) and others.

Angel of Love

The biggest threat A.A. poses to any enemy, however, is how she can cut the damage she receives up to 85% for the first two turns of the battle. While your team tries to take her out, their attacks won't do anything to her, while she takes them out in short order.

【The Witch of Rust】A.A. Hard Counters

Illya

Though she's applicable mostly in PvE, Illya's R rarity form can counter A.A. because of her active skill - which inflicts a 2-turn Faint on any enemy it hits. Within the duration, A.A. wouldn't be able to attack even while she receives scratch damage.

Once the Faint expires, A.A. becomes much easier to kill though she's still a threat to your team with her skills. So make sure to take her out ASAP.

Mimi

Mimi could potentially be a good counter to A.A. because of how she can undermine the latter's defenses with her Resonance ability - which inflicts damage on the enemy witch with the highest DEF once the enemy witch with the lowest DEF gets attacked.

Amleth

Amleth is another potential counter to A.A. as long as her Immortality buff isn't dispelled or stolen. Timing will also be a factor since her Immortality buff lasts 3 turns while A.A.'s damage cut lasts 2 turns. 1 turn may not be enough for Amleth to take the witch down.

In PvE, position Illya to wherever A.A. is. Florence will take her out with her attack, supported by Merlyn. Soltina meanwhile tanks any potential attacks, while Dian provides Evasion support for Florence.

Witches Not To Use Against 【The Witch of Rust】A.A.

Cordie

Florence

Though using them is fine in PvE, in PvP Cordie and Florence would be too soft to withstand A.A.'s attacks unless they have a supporting unit that gives them shields. However, you're better off fielding witches that are hardier while tough to kill as well.

Sabrina

Sabrina is another example of a witch that would be incapable of dealing with A.A. because the latter can still be deadly even with debuffed SPD while withstanding anything but the most severe damage for two turns.

Rusalka

Rusalka may be a powerful unit who can beat A.A. though she'll need support. Even with her own shield abilities, don't put her up against A.A. unless you have other units who can take the heat for her.

Tips for Beating 【The Witch of Rust】A.A.

Inflict Faint on Her ASAP

The first thing you need to remember when fighting A.A. is that she is nigh-invulnerable for the first two turns of the battle, so deny her the use of those two turns by inflicting Faint on her from the get-go. Once the Faint is expired, she'll be much easier to defeat.

Bring Tanky, Heavy-Hitting Units

Once A.A.'s damage cut is gone, you'll need units that can kill her fast but are still capable of lasting through her damage. Fia is a good example of this because of how tanky she can get.

Bring Units That Cast Multi-Barriers, Shields

If you have to, bring units that can give shields to help protect your units like Richesse, though you may be better off bringing more units that can maximize the damage of your main attackers instead.
