This is a guide for the different endings of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for the Nintendo Switch. Read on to learn more about the battles and quests you need to complete in order to get the secret ending!
List of Contents
There are two endings in Age of Calamity: one seen when defeating the final boss, and another seen by completing the
Terrako Quests post game.
In the regular ending, Terrako's sacrifice lets the heroes successfully defeat Calamity Ganon, sealing the Calamity once and for all.
With Calamity Ganon defeated, the heroes from the future return to their own timeline, bidding farewell to Zelda and the others.
The guardian activates, reuniting Zelda with her old companion as it plays a lullaby for her once again.
The final battle, The Future of Hyrule, concludes the main story of the game. Link, Zelda, and the others push through Hyrule Castle to confront Astor, Harbinger Ganon, and finally, Calamity Ganon himself.
After the long and grueling fight, Calamity Ganon will finally be sealed and peace is restored all over Hyrule. The heroes from the future will also return back to their own timeline, bidding farewell to the champions.
However, one of the scenes near the end of the story opens up another possible ending. After completing the game, you will unlock more quests and challenges. One of these quests seem familiar, and it is named Terrako's Return.
To unlock the secret ending, you must first complete the Terrako's Return quest. The quest may look easy at first as it only requires 50 Terrako Components.
If you register the quest to your Sensor or simply view the other Terrako quests, you will find out that getting the components requires more materials and completion of post game challenges.
Repairing Terrako will require time and effort, but continue completing the quests and challenges that rewards you with Terrako's Components. After gathering, turn the components in to finish the quest and get the secret ending!
You will get a cutscene plus an entirely different and adorable credits roll for your work. After those, you will also unlock Terrako as a playable character!
