Vicious Battles can only be unlocked after completing the main story. Due to their high-level threshold, Vicious Battles make for excellent EXP farms for post-game completion.

A Vicious Battle: Ash Swamp is one of the new challenges added in the first free DLC update for Age of Imprisonment on November 26, 2025. These challenges do not count towards region completion for Lenalia's Sketches but provide valuable rewards.

During Vicious Battles, you can get Vicious Materials and Trophies by defeating the final bosses of each battle. Vicious Materials and Trophies can be used for completing several post-game quests and can even be used to unleash powerful Fuse Attacks.
