Opal can be used to increase your buffs when setting up camps. Try using other supply materials to further raise your buffs for battles and challenges.

Opal can be used to raise a weapons' level cap to the max possible limit.

Opal can be used to remove a seal or all of the seals attached to a weapon. Note that you will require a significant amount of materials to remove them.
Opal can be sold through services for Rupees. Selling a single Opal will net you 96 Rupees.
