You can go with most perks and setups depending on your style, but if you're aiming for mostly melee gameplay, you'll want Recon-style perks and setups that allow you to get close to the enemy. Close Shave will also help a lot so that you don't have to switch out from your primary/secondary weapon every time.

The Flatline MK.II just plays like the Knife, so you'll what to use it only as a close-quarters option. To use it, swap to it with the corresponding button, then do either a quick attack with the fire button or a quick grab and stab with the ADS button.
You can go with any weapon of your choice, but we recommend lightweight ones that give you a lot of room for movement such as SMGs.

The Flatline MK.II is unlocked by reaching Player Level 49. You can increase your level by earning XP in any game mode, meeting objectives, getting Medals, and completing challenges.
