You can go with most perks and setups depending on your style, but if you're aiming for mostly melee gameplay, you'll want Recon-style perks and setups that allow you to get close to the enemy. Close Shave will also help a lot so that you don't have to switch out from your primary/secondary weapon every time.

To use it, swap to it with the corresponding button, then do either a quick attack with the fire button or a quick grab and stab with the ADS button.
You can go with any weapon of your choice, but we recommend lightweight ones that give you a lot of room for movement such as SMGs.

I recommend running scavenger and using stim shot it allows you to be a little more violent since it allows you to tank a couple extra shots. Better for your knife players that want to feel like they are running a shotgun. Get in get out tactics.
