The Lightning Easter Egg lets you trigger the lightning at Exit 115 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (BO7) Zombies. Read on to learn how to trigger the lightning and how to do the lightning ritual quest.

How to Trigger Lightning

Obtain the DG-2 Turret Barrel

Shoot clock on service station rooftop

The lightning event at Exit 115 begins once you progress through the Ashes of the Damned and acquire the DG-2 Turret Barrel upgrade for Ol' Tessie. Colored lightning strikes will appear on the rooftops of the Gas Station (red), Service Station (yellow), and Reba's Diner (blue). These strikes occur naturally on every two rounds.

Trigger Lightning Manually

On a round where no lightning is active, you can manually trigger the lightning by shooting the three lampposts that spark with the DG-2 Turret Barrel. These lampposts spark one at a time and in random order, so be sure to check each one.

Once you manage to shoot all three lampposts, the lightning will strike again during the current round.

Lightning Easter Egg Walkthrough

1 Power Up the Necrofluid Gauntlet in Ashwood
Shoot clock on Ashwood
Head to Ashwood and shoot the floating clock tower with the DG-2 Turret Barrel to power it up. Then, go up the bridge and use the Necrofluid Gauntlet to shoot the face of the clock and recall its spike to absorb its power. You’ll know it worked when your weapon begins glowing purple.

2 Shoot the Clock in Exit 115 to Pause Lightning
Shoot clock on service station rooftop
Go to Exit 115 and shoot the face of the clock on the Service Station Rooftop to transfer its power, which will pause the lightning. You will have one minute before the lightning resumes. During this period, you can now do the lightning ritual.
3 Summon the Waitress in Reba's Diner
Melee cash register
Go to Reba's Diner and melee attack the cash register until it opens to summon the Waitress zombie. Have the Waitress follow you to the diner's rooftop and onto the blue lightning.
4 Summon the Trucker Outside Reba's Diner
Ram red trcuk
Ram the red truck at the back using Ol' Tessie until the door opens to summon the Trucker zombie. Then, walk near the Trucker to make it follow you to the Gas Station's rooftop and onto the red lightning.
5 Summon the Engineer Inside the Service Station
Klause stomp next to car
Spawn Klaus using the calling device in the area and direct him to stomp next to the car, which will summon the Engineer zombie. Have the Engineer follow you to the Service Station's rooftop and onto the yellow lightning.

You’ll know you have successfully completed the quest once all zombies disappear from the lightning. If you accidentally kill them, they will respawn in the same location in the next round.
