The best weapons in Zombies for Season 1 are the Ray Gun Mark 2 and the Akimbo guns; the Akita Shotgun, Jager 45 Pistol, and the Kogot-7 SMG. For a great weapon to start with, you can use the DS20 Mirage due to firepower and magazine size.
The map-exclusive Wonder Weapons like the Necrofluid Gauntlet and LGM-1 are not included on the list since they're not available on all maps, but they are powerful weapons to have as well.

The Ray Gun Mark II is the best weapon to use in Zombies, as it can mow down zombies going past Round 20 even without being Pack-a-Punched. With its high burst damage, it can melt through zombies and elite bosses with ease. Its versatility and sheer firepower make it a reliable choice for any zombie session.

The DS20 Mirage is the best all around weapon that can easily carry you through an entire zombie session. It offers some of the highest critical and headshot damage among assault rifles. Its steady recoil, fast handling, and solid ammo capacity make it effective in every situation.

The Akita shotgun is one of the best shotguns in the game, thanks to its extremely fast fire rate that can shred zombies and elite bosses up close. It is also an excellent choice for Cursed Mode because its wide bullet spread and rapid fire rate let you earn a lot of essence quickly through the classic points system.

The Jäger 45 becomes one of the best weapons in Zombies when equipped with the Prestige Skull Splitter Barrel attachment. Its headshot capability turns into a one-shot kill, and pairing it with the Dual Wield attachment completely melts elite enemies.
You can also offset its low magazine size with the Double Tap augment Double Play, which returns 2 rounds when you kill 2 enemies in quick succession. The Equivalent Exchange augment for the Quick Revive perk also works well here, since you’ll be relying on your pistol whenever you get downed.

The Kogot-7 SMG is the meta Zombies weapon for Season 1 due to its Akimbo attachment, which is unlocked via weapon prestige. The insane fire rate of the Akimbo Kogot paired with the damage buffs of Pack-a-Punch, weapon rarity, and augmented Perks like Deadshot Daiquiri, Double Tap, and Death Perception makes allows you to one-shot hordes of Zombies and melt the Astra Malorum boss easily.
The only downsides are the ammo capacity and aiming/handling difficulty, but that's mitigated by how strong it is. The Akimbo attachment also allows for you to switch to single-hand at any time.

The Ray Gun Mark I is an excellent Wonder Weapon, firing high-damage energy blasts that create small-radius splash damage. It’s highly effective against groups of zombies clustered together.

The MK.78 is the best starting LMG, offering solid damage and strong ammo capacity. Upgrading it further boosts its magazine size and damage output, making it excellent for mowing down zombies. Its only downside is its long reload time.

The Dravec 45 is a great SMG for early rounds thanks to its excellent mobility and accuracy. With the Double Tap perk, it can shred through zombies with ease, almost feeling like a lightning-fast LMG.
Its downside is its low damage output, making it unsustainable to use in later rounds.

The Shadow SK is the strongest sniper rifle option against zombies thanks to its fast fire rate and extremely high headshot damage. It becomes even more lethal with the Double Tap perk, increasing its fire rate to the point where it almost feels like a marksman rifle.
Its main drawback is its small magazine size, and you need to be accurate with headshots or weakspots for it to reach its full potential. When used correctly, this weapon can melt elite enemies with only a few shots to its weakspot.

The Coda 9 pistol is an excellent choice for a secondary weapon. It has one of the fastest fire rates among pistols, and with upgrades and the Dual Wield attachment, it becomes even more effective.
Its downside is that, as a pistol, its damage and penetration are limited, causing it to fall off hard in later rounds.
