You can raise your weapon level through 3 ways: Multiplayer, Zombies, or the Campaign. Raise weapon levels with weapon XP, which is gained through various sources such as getting kills with the weapon.
You can take advantage of Double XP events or Double XP tokens for weapon levelling, whenever they are available, to reach the max level requirement quickly for Weapon Prestige.
Once your weapon reaches the maximum level, head into the Loadout Menu and equip the max level weapon. A prompt named Prestige Available should appear on right, under the weapon's description. Select and hold the corresponding button to enter the Weapon Prestige menu.
| Notes Before Using Weapon Prestige |
|---|
| ・Prestige resets your weapon level completely.
・Prestige relocks all unlocked attachments of your weapon (saved for one designated as a Permanent Unlock from a Prestige). ・Prestige does not reset any weapon camos. ・You can only Prestige each weapon up to a total of 3 times. |
In the Weapon Prestige menu, you can decide to hold off on the Prestige process or confirm it by holding down the corresponding button that confirms Reset Weapon Level & Enter Prestige #. There is no going back after confirming weapon prestige, so make sure to wrap up on anything else for doing this.
| Prestige 1 | ・Unlocks
・Permanently Unlock Select Weapon Attachment
・Prestige 1 Universal Camo |
|---|---|
| Prestige 2 | ・Permanently Unlock Select Weapon Attachment
・Prestige 2 Universal Camo ・Prestige Weapon Charm |
| Prestige Master | ・Permanently Unlocks All Attachments of the Prestige Weapon
・4 Prestige Master Camos (Lv. 100/150/200/250) |
In exchange for resetting your weapon level and relocking your attachments, you will be rewarded special items from Weapon Prestige, notably permanent attachment unlocks and cosmetics such as weapon camos.
In the long run, it's worth it to prestige weapons not just for the cosmetics, but also for their weapon-exclusive Prestige Attachments which grant stats different from the regular attachments that you unlock.

Prestige Attachments are indicated by a Diamond symbol.
Prestige Attachments are attachments unlocked from completing Prestige 1 of a weapon. These attachments provide stats that can drastically improve their performance. Though, not all Prestige Attachments are mandatory for a strong build; some are used for preference instead, such as the MFS Semi-Auto Fast Mag of the MXR-17.
