Field Upgrades are powerful equipment that provide you or your allies with offensive or defensive advantages. It is available for Zombies Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 (BO7). Read on for a list of all Field Upgrades available in-game, including info on their effects and how to unlock them.

Equipment Level Unlock Effect
Energy MineEnergy Mine Unlocks Immediately Create a mine of pure energy that detonates three times.
Dark FlareDark Flare Unlocks Immediately Generate an energy beam that deals lethal Shadow damage and penetrates enemies in its path.
Frenzied GuardFrenzied Guard 8 Repair armor to full and force all enemies in the area to temporarily target you. Armor takes all damage during this time and kills repair your armor.
Healing AuraHealing Aura 17 Summon beams of energy down on yourself and allies to instantly revive and heal to full health.
Toxic GrowthToxic Growth 29 Summon a deadly growth of thorns in front of you. Enemies moving through it are slowed and take Toxic damage.
Aether ShroudAether Shroud 48 Phase into the Dark Aether and become temporarily hidden from enemy detection.
Frost BlastFrost Blast Unlocks Immediately Create a blizzard that deals lethal Frost damage on activation and slows enemies that enter it.
Tesla StormTesla Storm Unlocks Immediately Yourself and nearby allies will generate electric fields that stun and damage enemies.
Mister PeeksMister Peeks Unlocks Immediately Summon Mister Peeks to our reality. Attracts enemies and attack them once they're in range.

What are Field Upgrades?

Provides Offensive and Defensive Utilities

Field Upgrade Loadout Menu

Field Upgrades are versatile utilities that gives you and your allies a strategic advantage during missions. These utilities can range from dealing Shadow damage to reviving your allies. Field Upgrades can be found in Weapons > Loadout > Field Upgrades, or it can be changed in Edit Loadout menu before starting a mission. Field Upgrades are unlocked by leveling up, but the Energy Mine and Dark Flare Field Upgrades are available immediately.

Can Be Upgraded through Augments

Field Upgrade Augments

Field Upgrades can be enhanced through Augments to become even more efficient, increase damage, or add special bonuses. Field Upgrade Augments can be unlocked through the Research Augments menu at Level 11. From the Research menu, choose any utility from Field Upgrades to start researching, then earn XP during missions to progress and unlock an Augment. The Field Upgrade Augments you unlocked can be equiped in the Loadout menu.
