Toxic Growth Easter Egg
| The Toxic Growth easter egg is available in Ashes of the Damned. |
Equip and Charge Toxic Growth
Toxic Growth becomes available at Level 29. Once you have it, equip the Toxic Growth Field Upgrade and start charging it. You can use Arsenal Accelerator GobbleGum to speed it up or pick up a Full Power Power Up to instantly charge it.
If you're already in a match and you didn't equip Toxic Growth, you can still change the it through the menu.
Spray the Plant and Use Toxic Growth
Grab a Brown Can to spray the plant. Immediately use Toxic Growth near the plant to make it grow faster and yield better rewards. Toxic Growth can act as a defensive mechanism for the plant, but it won't help if there's a horde coming in to destroy it, so make sure to defend it!
Toxic Growth can last a few rounds, and the plant will reset every round. Make use of this and spray the plant a few times for a chance to get Aetherium Crystals or Aether Tools!

You can get two to three random, but better rewards from this easter egg. You can get Aetherium Crystals, Aether Tools, Mystery Perk, and up to Epic Rarity weapons and equipment. You can also get high amount Essence and Salvage on some plant drops.
How to Get Toxic Growth Field Upgrade
Unlocked at Level 29
The Toxic Growth field upgrade is unlocked by reaching account level 29. Players who want to quickly reach high levels are encouraged to play the co-op campaign and dip their toes in its Endgame mode for some quick account and weapon XP.

Major Augment | Enemies killed by the growth explode, dealing Toxic damage to nearby enemies and slowing them. |
 Urticant |
Major Augment | Toxic Growth takes up a wider area and enemies that enter the growth continue to be slowed after leaving it. |
 Extra Slot |
Minor Augment | Equip a second minor augment. |
 Plant Food |
Minor Augment | Killing enemies with Toxic Growth has a chance to drop fruit that overcharge health. |
 Extra Charge |
Minor Augment | Increase Max Charges by 1. |
 Green Thumb |
Minor Augment | Significantly increase the Toxic Growth's health. |

Minor Augment | Enemies moving through the growth are even slower. |
