| (Optional) Go to Yennefer's room at the inn and pick up the clothes. They are located in the chest in the corner of the room with the megascopes. Wear the clothes and you will receive 150 XP. |
| Meet Yennefer outside of Kaer Toldder. Enter the banquet with her. |
| (Pptional) Race Cerys. Winning or losing will give you 150 XP. |
| Meet with Yennefer in private, head to the door at the southwest door. |
| (Optional) You can challenge Madman Lugos to a fistfight after he insults Yennefer. Win or lose, you will get 150 XP. |
| Continue with Yennefer to Ermions laboratory. Follow the corridor. The room located to the east after talking to Yennefer will have a chest containing 2 diagrams. |
| Follow Yen to the window exit through it. Walk on the ledges to enter the window to Ermions laboratory. |
| Use your Witcher Sense to investigate the room. Examine the stuffed wolf, stuffed deer, stuffed bear, and water basin, then examine the door to proceed. |
| You will fight hallucinations of 10 wolves and 4 bears. They deal less damage and have less health than the actual animals. |
| Use your Witcher Sense to investigate the next room. Pick up the chalice and place it onto the statue with its palms out. |
| Enter the secret entrance. Fight the Earth Elemental. |
| Choosing "We're gonna choke and die" will send Geralt and Yennefer back to the banquet. Choosing "kiss me" will teleport them to Yennefer's room, giving you a chance to romance her. Either option will get them to safety. |
When fighting the Earth Elementall watch its attacks, dodge, then use heavy attacks. The attacks are telegraphed, making them easy to react to. If you were able to make some beforehand, applying some Elementa Oil to your Silver Sword will increase the damage you can deal significantly.
Use Quen to block any attacks that you might not dodge, as they can deal significant damage. When it is blocking, you can use Aard to break the block. You can also simply let Yennefer do all the work fighting the Earth Elemental.
