This skill gives you a chance to poison the enemy which can greatly increase your damage against your targeted enemy. The chance of poisoning the targeted enemy increases by 10% for every upgrade an oil has. The max chance you can get is 35% from using Superior Oils which is still pretty low for battles you can end fast.
The ability of this skill can greatly help you in combat against stronger enemies especially in higher difficulties.
Conclusion
If you severely lack damage against a certain type of enemy, then you should invest in this skill. The extra damage that you get from poisoning the enemy will greatly help you in combat.
