Ashen Winds is an event signified by a red tornado up in the sky. To find the island where the event takes place, head towards the red tornado until you see land. The event island should be directly beneath it.
Taking on the Ashen Winds event will let you fight one of the Ashen Lords in the game: Red Ruth, Old Horatio, Warden Chi, or Captain Grimm. On defeat, they will drop the Ashen Winds Skull - a special loot skill that you can use to attack enemies or sell for gold.
Fort of Fortune is an event that takes place on an island beneath the large red skull cloud you see in the sky. Defeat the fort's defenders and slay the Ashen Lord inside to receive a Fort of Fortune Key. This opens the treasure vault in the island which contains valuable loot.
Ghost Fleet is an event found near the large island beneath the green tornado in the sky. Upon arriving, you'll fight a fleet of Ghost Ships in the waters surrounding the island. Complete the whole event and get your loot by defeating all three waves of the Ghost Fleet!
Skeleton Fleet is an event can be found near the Pirate Ship Cloud or Smoke at the center of Sea of Thieves. You will be fighting waves of different types of battleships with a variety of skeletons controlling them.
Once the Skeleton Fleet appears, it will only stay for around half an hour, so try to travel fast if you're planning on taking it on.
A Skeleton Fort is indicated by the Skull Smoke with Green Eyes in the sky. Skeleton Forts spawns on fortress-type islands and will be filled with skeletons trying to defend them and their vault containing treasures.
You can open the vault using the Stronghold Skull dropped by Skeleton Captains to obtain the treasure.
