You can play with up to 8 players in Mario Strikers: Battle League using the Single Console, Local Wireless, and Online Battle with Friends options. Read on for the detailed method and steps of how you can play with eight players in the game!

It is possible to play with 8 players in the game, and you can do it using the Single Console, Local Wireless, or with Friends Online options. The easiest way to play multiplayer with up to 8 people is to use a single switch and select the Single Console option in the Quick Battle menu.
How to Play Online and Local Wireless

| Step 3 | Choose the 8 Players option |
| Step 4 | Connect the controllers and start the game |
Enter the Quick Battle menu screen and find the Single Console. From there, move the cursor to the Single Console and press right until you find the 8 Players option. Press A to confirm, pair the controllers to the device, and start the game!

Prepare 4 switch devices and 8 controllers, and make sure everyone is connected to a stable internet connection. Start pairing the controllers from the Battle Friends option in Online Play. Get the switch devices and begin the connection. You can start the game immediately after that!
Note that all switch devices must have a Nintendo Switch Online Membership to access online features.

Prepare 4 switch devices and 8 controllers as well. After that, start pairing the controllers to each switch device using the Local Wireless in the Quick Battle menu. And then, start the connection and begin the match once everything is up!
Unlike Online Battle with friends, this option is free and won't require a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access it. It's a good alternative if one of the switch devices doesn't have Online Membership!
