Effect | |
Chases after a nearby opponent when thrown, hitting them and causing them to fall over. | |
Pros | Cons |
・Can hit multiple opponents at once if lined up correctly ・Bounces off walls twice and hit oppponents again ・Can be used to block shots |
・Can also hit allies caught on its path ・It's easy to evade when used at long-range |
Unlike the Red Shell that follows opponents, the Green Shell only travels in a straight line, making it easier for enemies to dodge them.
It is recommended to throw the Green Shell to opponents pointblank to guarantee that they will be hit by it.
One dangerous thing with Green Shells is that your characters can get hit by it should it bounce back towards you. However, this can be avoided by simply dodging the shell before getting hit by it.
Another way of using Green Shells is by throwing it towards a certain direction and following its path, much like a moving shield so opponents won't get to tackle you upfront.
Keep in mind that this is helpful against enemies that are directly in front of you, so you can still get tackled from the side or from behind.
Since Perfect Shots cannot be body-blocked by characters on the field except Boom Boom, you can use Green Shells to block them and stop them completely. It will be hard to execute, but it will be helpful in most situations.
Like all items in Mario Strikers: Battle League, you will need to touch a ? Block to get one and add it to one of your item slots. The item you get from a ? Block is always random, and you are only allowed to get items from rainbow blocks or blocks with your team's color.
