How to do a Team Tackle | Tackle your teammates by pressing or holding Y button |
---|
Team Tackle is a technique where you tackle your teammates instead of directly hitting your opponents. It allows you to steal the ball if done successfully and won't trip your teammate that got pushed even if it fails.
It might be hard to pull off as the characters are constantly moving. It also requires great coordination between teammates, so only do it if you get the chance!
How to do a Perfect Tackle | Hold Y button to charge up a tackle and release it once the gauge is filled up and glows. |
---|
A perfect tackle is a technique that lets you tackle any character even if they have maxed strength and steal the ball from them. It is best to use against a team with high Strength characters, as it will be hard to defend against them as they won't budge with a light tap.
Perfect tackle also affects team tackle, so if the situation needs it, be sure to do so!
How to Perform Perfect Actions
How to do a Basic Tackle | Press Y button to do a Basic Tackle |

Low Strength characters doesn't have that much resistance against tackles. You can easily and quickly steal the ball from them by simply pressing the tackle button.
How to Cancel Charged Tackles | Press B or R Button to cancel |
---|
Your opponent might try to dodge your Charged tackles to gain a speed boost and a scoring advantage. However, by canceling your Charged Tackle, you can confuse your opponents into taking the wrong action, giving you the upperhand on defense.
Opponents can often avoid your tackles (especially charged tackles), leaving your team tmeprarily defenseless. However tackling an opponent who is about to receive the ball makes it harder for them to avoid it, and gives you possesion of the ball after the successful hit.
While tackling is a good way to apply pressure, constantly tackling can make your defense very predictable which can lead to opponents dodging your tackles with greater ease. Tackling an opponent who is not holding the ball will cause the crowd to throw items to help them as well, so make sure to tackle in moderation, especially when the opponent is on your side of the field.
Failing to tackle an opponent will leave you immobilized for a few seconds, especially if they dodged it. Try not to tackle unnecessarily, as it may put your team at a disadvantage.
Hyper Strikes that are not perfectly executed can be potentially blocked by the goalie. Tackling your opponents will give you the advantage if the Hyper Strike misses, since you will be able to shoot back again or bring the ball to the other side if that happens.
Opponents can predict and dodge your tackles, and that is true, especially on the teams on Galactic Mode. You can perform consecutive tackles if needed to stop them from advancing and scoring.
You can also bait them by canceling your tackle at the last minute so they can expend their dodges and become defenseless.
You can cancel out an opponent's Hyper Strike right before they press the needle in the gauge. You only have 3 seconds max to stop them from doing a Hyper Strike, and you won't be able to touch them once they finish.
Mark them closely to stop them once they get a Strike Orb and prevent them from scoring double in a single goal.
