Mario Strikers: Battle League gives players ten characters to choose from: Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Peach, Rosalina, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Waluigi. Despite these characters all being regulars for the Mario Sports series, what was odd was the lack of Princess Daisy: best friend of Princess Peach and possible romantic interest of Luigi.

As there are no hidden characteres unlockable in the base game, for the time being, Daisy is not a playable character in Mario Strikers: Battle League.

Could Potentially Be Added Through DLC

Despite Daisy not making the initial list, a tweet from the official Nintendo account confirmed that new characters will be added to the game. These updates will be added by way of DLC come post-release, so there's still a chance for the brown-haired princess to show up in the field and take on Mario and friends!

As Daisy is a mainstay in other Mario Sports games, and even a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the chance for Daisy to be added alongside the first batch of new characters seems very likely!
