Pros | Cons |
・Can be used to block shots ・Can stop an opponent at point-blank range ・Stays on the field for a short time |
・It can also affect allies ・Only has a short range ・Easy to evade when it's on the field |
It is recommended to throw Bananas at the start of plays because when it is thrown directly at the opponent, they will have no time to avoid or dodge the Banana, which is especially common when placed on the ground during higher difficulty Cup Battles like Galactic Mode.
In higher Cup Battle difficulties, the likelihood of opponents slipping from Bananas are low as they heavily avoid them.
However, this can be used as a means to cover certain areas in the field which can serve as a semi-barrier where you're safer to take shots, especially when having two Bananas. While you're much safer in front of the Banana, you can still get tackled from the side of from behind.
Bananas on the field can deflect shots. You can also use it to create a barrier surrounding the Goalie to prevent your opponents from getting a shot. Just be careful moving around that area as you can get knocked down by your Banana or your teammates'.
Like all items in Mario Strikers: Battle League, you will need to touch a ? Block to get one and add it to one of your item slots. The item you get from a ? Block is always random, and you are only allowed to get items from rainbow blocks or blocks with your team's color.
