Dribbling is the way to keep the ball while moving. Use the movement controls once you get the ball to dribble. Dribbling automatically works once you get the ball, and it doesn't require any other actions to perform it.

High Speed affects Dribbling Speed

Characters with high Speed can dribble the ball faster. You can use characters with high base Speed or equip them with the Turbo Set if you want to prioritize speed and dribbling to be the foundation of your team.

Sprint to Speed up

How to Sprint Press the ZR button to sprint

You can sprint while dribbling the ball on the field. Do it to outrun your opponents and leave them behind to score. There's a limit on how much you can sprint, so make sure do it wisely!

Don't Sprint in Front of Enemies

There's a high chance of losing the ball if you sprint in front of your enemy. It's because the ball will advance forward, losing control over the possession for a bit.

Dash to Dodge Opponents and Items

How to Dodge Press the R button to dash and dodge

One way to dribble effectively is to dodge opponents and items in the way. Watch out for the tackle gauge and items spawn on the field to evade them and avoid losing the ball. There's also a limit on how many times you can dash in a row, so don't spam it recklessly.

As mentioned in above, there's also a limit on how many times you can dash in a row. While dribbling, you can dash up to 4 consecutive times before getting tired. Once your character is tired, you will be susceptible to committing a turnover.

There are other ways to lose defenders but dashing is good way to get clear so don't use it recklessly.
