Mario Strikers Battle League - What is Golden Goal

Golden Goal is a 2 minute overtime played when a match ends in a draw. Read on to learn how it's played out as well as what happens when Golden Goal still ends in a draw.

Golden Goal Is a 2-Minute Overtime

First Team to Score Wins

First Score Wins
If a match is tied when time runs out, the game will enter a 2-minute sudden death overtime. During this period, the first team that scores a goal wins the game.

Will there be a 2nd Overtime?

If neither team scores within the 2 minutes, the match will be declared a draw. Make those last 2 minutes count and get a goal in!

When Does Golden Goal Happen

Golden Goal Overtime
Golden Goals happen in matches that end in a draw. Matches that end in a draw during Cup Battles will be decided with a rematch.
