Nintendo has confirmed that DLC is on the way for Mario Strikers: Battle League! Read on to learn what DLC will be added to the game as well as our predictions as to what may be included and its possible release date.

In a tweet posted from the official Nintendo account, there will be free post-launch updates on the way. So far the only DLC confirmed are more characters but we will be updating our page for any announcements so be sure to check back soon!
The opening season for Strikers Club Mode starts on June 20, 2022. When the new season drops, many features will be unlocked in the game, including Season Matches, Season Achievements, and Division Rankings. If DLC or content updates were to be released, there is a chance that it could coincide with the new season's release date.
Mario Strikers: Battle League has similar release dates to previous Mario sport titles on the Nintendo Switch. All three of them released on June of their respective years, so there is a high likelihood that they could have similar update schedules as well.
Based on the update schedules of these previous games, there is a good chance that we could receive DLC between August to September of 2022.

As mentioned above, Nintendo has already stated that there will be new Character coming out for Battle League, though they haven't specified which ones. However, as the Mario Strikers series is famous for having a wide variety of characters from the Nintendo Universe, such as Diddy Kong, Daisy, and Bowser Jr., it is perhaps safe to assume that we may see them come back.

All Stadiums featured in this game are brand new locations and currently do not include Stadiums from older games. The previous game in the series, Mario Strikers Charged, featured new Stadiums but also included Stadiums from the first game, Super Mario Strikers so more Stadiums being added in the future could seem likely.

The Mario Strikers Series is known for its interesting game modes, such as Striker Challenge and Custom Battle, meaning that we might get some new gameplay features with the upcoming DLC.
Currently, Galactic Mode is the hardest difficulty in the game's singleplayer Battle Cup Mode. It is possible that Nintendo could also release an even harder mode to complete after clearing Galactic Mode.
