Having a practice tutorial for every gameplay mechanic in Mario Strikers: Battle League, Training Mode then becomes the perfect avenue to practice the special, but hard to execute Hyper Strikes.
In Training Mode, you can constantly practice the timing of Hyper Strikes to be able to get that guaranteed two-point goal against your opponents!
One of the techniques that players can utilize in matches is Team Tackles. By performing a charged tackle towards their teammate, players can propel their characters by holding the ball forward while tackling their opponents.
While helpful, it requires a bit of practice as Team Tackles require decent aiming to pull off effectively.
Team Tackes can be found in the Advanced: Expert Skills Lesson of Training Mode.
Since Hyper Strikes cannot be accessed all the time, aimed shots and charged shots are the next best thing when it comes to effective scoring.
Being able to perfect the timing for charged shots as well as execute aimed shots that can deceive Boom Boom will definitely be a good way to rack up some points even without performing Hyper Strikes.
These two moves can be found in the Moving & Shooting Lesson of Training Mode.
When used at the right time, items can often change the tides of a match, so using them effectively is key to winning several matches. Learning how to use the different items thrown on the field is a vital element of gameplay.
Combos are one of the best ways to disorient your opponent and catch them off guard. It also ensures that your team maintains constant control of the ball by preventing your opponent from tackling your players and stealing the ball.
Since combos require the use of several characters, this lesson is also a great tool for mastering how to effectively use each member of the team.
These two moves can be found in the Combo Play Lesson of Training Mode.
The Training Match is the final lesson in Training Mode where you can test out all the skills you have learned with a full team of four. Playing the Training Match is best way to practice for actual soccer matches, and you even earn a reward after winning.
As a reward for completing the final lesson of training mode, you will receive 800 coins that you can use to purchase gear or unlock different stadium upgrades.
However, you only receive the reward if you win the final match.
There are a total of nine lessons in Training Mode, and you complete them in any order you wish.
