Use heat damage from weapons like Incinerator M7 or Vulcan TA, or equip the Incendiary Rounds ammunition mod when available. Focus on shooting the Queen Crawler's head and mouth to exploit her weakpoints, or aim for the glowing spots on its hind.
During phase 2, Queen Crawler will start creating purple Mire portals that spawn multiple Crawler Larvae. Watch your footing and avoid these portals, as these deal high damage as it spawns Crawlers on the field.

| Tips | Ping to track its location Break armors with Force Damage Avoid melee combat |
Pinging an Impaler can help keep track of its location, as it often drops a smokescreen and jumps away. This is especially useful in a party, as more Impalers appear the larger the party size, with up to three Impalers spawning at once. Mark an Impaler to keep track of their position and take them down one at a time.
Using weapons with Force damage like the G33 or equipping Armor Piercing Rounds can help destroy its armor. When destroyed, related mechanics are disabled, such as launching missiles from its forearms.
Lastly, it is best to avoid melee combat when battling the Impaler unless you're playing as a Ninja adept at parries. It has a lethal thrust attack where it lunges forward with its head blade that can be difficult to dodge at close range. Focus on maintaining a distance and shooting from afar to avoid the being downed.

Chimera tends to prioritize rushing towards characters and performing lethal melee attacks. Prioritize staying mobile, aiming for headshots while running away to avoid being hit by its attacks. If an Engineer or a Multi-tool is available, setting up ziplines can drastically increase chances of survival.
During phase 2, the Chimera will shoot yellow blobs that spawn Mire Cysts on impact. Players can shoot these blobs when in flight to prevent additional enemies from spawning.
Note that Chimera can teleport, and may spawn directly behind players to catch them off guard. Placing a ping on the Chimera can help track its location, and avoid using Aim Down Sights (ADS) when the boss is not within sight to expand your field of view.

Patriarch is currently unavailable in Killing Floor 3. However, he might make a return as one of the most iconic bosses in the series, likely coming in Summer 2026 as part of the Season 4 Update according to the roadmap.
