How to Fix PC Crashing Issue

Delete Your Nightfall Folder

If you are experiencing frequent crashes, one way to fix the issue is to try and delete your Nightfall Folder. To locate this folder, go do the drive where your game is installed and navigate to Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Nightfall.

After deleting the folder, launch the game as you normally would to see if that solves the issue.

How to Fix GPU Crash Error

Edit User Settings File

Another potential fix for this crashing issue is to edit the GameUserSettings.ini file. This file is located at C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Nightfall\Saved\Config\WindowsClient.

Once you have located the file, open it and set the following:

  • [/Script/Nightfall.NF_UserSettings]
  • GlobalIlluminationMethod=0
  • ReflectionMethod=0

These files and folders may be hidden by default, so be sure to check your view options if you are unable to locate them.
