Knightsbridge and SCAR EIR are the two best weapons you can have for Commando. Knightsbridge has many mods that can increase its ammo capacity and even include a Frag Launcher that can help control hordes of Zeds. SCAR EIR is also another good weapon that you can use on armored enemies with the recommended mods attached.

Krait is a weapon from the Engineer class and is the best sidearm you can give Commando, as it is an automatic sidearm that can help clear out mobs of enemies. For tools, you'd want an Ammo Bag, as Commando typically requires a lot of ammunition.

The total cost to buy this entire loadout, with mods included, will require you 13,715. If you have the Preferred Customer skill, you will be able to buy these weapons for much cheaper!

Best Commando Primary Weapons

Primary Weapon Slot 1

Primary
Recommended Mods

The Best Weapon you can get for Commando is the Knightsbridge, as this provides you with a very high ammo capacity count and magazine, letting you deal with hordes of Zed with ease. You can also increase its magazine size to 80 with the Drum Mag mod.

Attach a Frag Launcher, and this weapon can help clear out even more Zeds as you mow them down with this weapon.

Primary Weapon Slot 2

Primary
Recommended Mods

For your other Primary weapon, it's recommended that you get SCAR EIR with AP rounds to be able to deal with Zeds that have armor such as Husk or Siren.

Alternative Primary Weapons

Base Cost: 2,300
3 Killing Floor 3 X295 WraithX295 Wraith Primary DMG: 70
Primary Fire Mode: Ballistic DMG
Base Cost: 1,500

K&W MP6 is a good alternative weapon in every phase of the game, as this allows you to support your allies if you lack a medic in your team, especially since Syringes are limited. Stormguard is another good weapon to have if you don't have enough for either of the recommended weapons, as it can carry you later on in the game.

If you want to save money, X295 Wraith is a good enough weapon to carry you later on in the game, especially if you have the Overpressure Rounds mod attached to it.

Best Commando Sidearm Weapon

Sidearm
Recommended Mods

Krait from the Engineer's loadout is the best gun you can have for Commando, as it is a fully automatic sidearm with a high capacity count. It fits perfectly well with Commando's playstyle and can also help in rotating weapons when using the Get Loaded skill.

Alternative Sidearm Weapons

Secondary Fire Mode: Biological DMG

Base Cost: 1,200
3 Killing Floor 3 Bloodhound P330Bloodhound P330 Primary DMG: 115
Primary Fire Mode: Ballistic DMG
Base Cost: 900

KH-380 is a good support weapon you can use as an alternative to heal other allies when there is a lack of a Medic in your team. Shuriken provides players a movement buff when it's equipped and can also be coated with various coatings for debuffs.

For rounds where you want to save money, just the simple Bloodhound P330 is enough early on in the waves, but it may struggle against a large group of enemies later on.

Depending on the composition of your team, you can opt to change to any of these alternative tools. If your team does not have a dedicated healer, having a Syringe Bag will ensure that you stay healthy throughout the match.

Multi-Tool can provide various uses depending on the map, like enabling ziplines or turrets. Finally, Pulse Lure can be placed to ease the pressure when an intense horde of zeds is coming right at you.

Commando Bonus Ability Priority

Ability and Priority Explanation
Each shot has a 1.5% chance to deal 150% Damage.
★★★★★
The Commando generally uses Assault Rifles that have a sizable magazine size. Seeing as Commando needs more damage to be competitive, this is a must-have for the Commando.
Teammates within 10m deal 2.5% bonus weapon Damage during Zed Time.
★★★☆☆
While ZED time itself has no advantages apart from slowed time, having this bonus ability makes the Commando more viable for teamplay as the damage increase is an exceptional boon.
Zed Time Gain Multiplier is increased by 15% if there's at least 1 Teammate within 10m.
☆☆☆☆
The Commando is the only class that enhances ZED time, so making the gain multiplier even higher will increase this mechanic's up time by a significant amount.

For the Commando, it would be best to prioritize the following Bonus Abilities that fully lean on his ability to proc ZED time reliably by increasing the rate gained and the damage dealt by him and his peers.

Base Effect: Using a syringe increases movement speed by 15%, weapon damage by 15%, and bash damage by 50% for 20 seconds.
┗ Using additional Syringes will refresh duration of buff.

During the early game, it's recommended that you get Fire Sale, as this skill will help you a lot with your ammo consumption by increasing your max ammo capacity and reducing the ammo cost to refill it, saving you a ton of money. Try to get Preferred Customer as well, as this will allow you to get expensive weapons at a cheaper price.

Since most Commando weapons typically have slow reload times, Get Loaded can help mitigate that issue as switching out a weapon automatically reloads the weapon if you leave it holstered for 2.5 seconds. This allows you to continue firing by switching between your weapons to reduce downtime.

In late game, A Real Rager is an amazing skill to have as it grants you various effects such as Movement Speed, Weapon Damage, and Bash Damage for 20 seconds. Pair this with the Booster Shot skill, which increases your syringe by 2, and this buff effect can last a very long time each wave.

Killing Floor 3 Scavenger Scavenger

Base Effect: Destroying an enemy's head grants a stack of SCAVENGER.
┗ SCAVENGER at 12 stacks, consume all stacks to refill 1 grenade ammo.

Think Fast! is an amazing skill that allows Foster to throw his grenade and have it explode as soon as it hits an enemy. This can be very useful at times when you want to escape a horde of Zeds surrounding you without having to wait for the grenade to explode.

Later on in the game, you'll be able to get infinite amounts of Grenades when you get the Scavenger skill as long as you perform headshots.

Being able to spam grenades alongside the Corrosion Explosion skill will soften and outright kill hordes of weaker zeds, allowing you and your team to conserve ammo and focus on much harder foes like the Fleshpound or Scrake.

Commando Skill Priority

Commando Skill Upgrade Priority

Skill Priority Explanation
Killing Floor 3 Fire Sale Fire Sale ★★★★★ Prioritize getting this to increase max ammo capacity and save money from getting refills.
Killing Floor 3 Preferred Customer Preferred Customer ★★★★★ You'd want to upgrade this as soon as you get it, as this will allow you to buy stronger weapons early on in the waves for its discount.
Killing Floor 3 A Real Rager A Real Rager ★★★★ Upgrade this, as this will increase the buffs you receive from using syringes.
Killing Floor 3 Scavenger Scavenger ★★★★ Upgrading this will reduce the amount of headshots required, allowing you to stack more and get grenades faster.
Killing Floor 3 Corrosion Explosion Corrosion Explosion ★★★☆☆ A good skill to prioritize to increase the duration of the lingering cloud.

For the Early Game, you'd want to prioritize upgrading Fire Sale and Preferred Customer as these skills can reduce the cost you need to get better weapons and ammo refills.

In late game, you'd want to prioritize A Real Rager, as this gives you a significant boost in damage due to the buffs it gives, and for damage output, upgrade the Scavenger skill as this allows you to spam grenades as long as you headshot enemies.

How to Play Commando

Commando Playstyle Tips

Prioritize Small Zeds

Commando's whole playstyle is to prioritize dealing with weaker Zeds, such as Clots, Crawler, and Cyst, as they have tools that can either slow down enemy advances using debuffs or deal AoE damage through grenades and their gadget.

You'd want to be able to control hordes of weaker zeds so that your team can focus on other priority targets, such as Scrake or Fleshpounds.

Use Gadget on Large Zeds

Since their weapon is a bit weaker than other classes, it's not advisable that you dump all your ammo on larger zeds. Instead, you can use your Gadget Skills to deal with one or two of them.

With the recommended Gadget Skills, you'll be able to soften them up and have your team finish these large Zeds easily.

Currently, most players use Vulcan TA with an 1assault rifle since it is one of the best weapons to take down a boss or large enemies like Fleshpound (in 2charge shots) also can play with run and hit style Commando with any hard-hitting weapons that slow reload, such as shotguns, is also fun since it can be used with auto-reload.
