Travel to R&D Lab Using Mission Control at the Stronghold
From the main hub of the game, access Mission Control and travel to the R&D Lab. You can choose to take on this mission solo or with a group.
Locate Operating Theatre
Once you spawn, head over to the Operating Theater. A display on your HUD should lead you to this area without much issue as the Operating Theatre itself is openly accessible from multiple angles.
Analyze Frontal Lobe Samples
Use the Scanner near the stairs upon heading down in order to analyze the frontal lobe samples. You will need to clear the current wave to progress the quest afterwards.
Locate Incubation
After the next wave starts, you will be given directions towards the Incubation Room, which you can drop down into a wall hole from your current level as a shortcut.
Locate Upper Platform Console to Release Proto-Zed
Once you are inside the Incubation room, head over to the upper platform and interact with the console button.
Locate Incident Log in Incubation
Descend from the upper platform stairs, and one of the consoles on the left should have an interactable incident log.
Completing this objective will then prompt you to end the current match, which you can end with either victory or defeat in order to complete the quest.
