EX Handle the Horde - Tips and Strategy Guide
While the objective is to defeat many enemies within the time limit, this is a battle that you cannot lose. You only need to reach a high number of KOs to complete the challenge.
Cook Food Before Starting the Challenge
To defeat enemies faster, we recommend cooking food that boosts your damage output.
If you have completed all cooking quests, cook Spicy Pepper Steak, Meat Pie, and Salt-Grilled Gourmet Meat to get a total of +22% damage.
Use a Mob Clearing Character
Use characters that are good at fighting groups of enemies such as Teba, Impa, and Link. You can also use Zelda with a Master Cycle as she can easily defeat mobs of enemies and navigate around the map quickly.
Defeat Powerful Foes
Once a powerful foe appears on the map, head to its destination and defeat it. Defeating these foes will spawn a new group of mobs for you to increase the number of KOs.
Check the Battle Log to See the Enemy Location
During the challenge, the game will notify the location of new enemies for a few seconds after defeating a powerful foe.
To check the location once the notification disappears, press the Plus (+) button and the L button to navigate to the Battle Log. A red radar will flash indicating the location of the enemies.
Enlarge the Minimap
While in the battlefield, press the Left Thumbstick to enlarge the minimap on the bottom right corner. This allows you to navigate around the area easily and check the amount of enemies.
