How to Unlock Aether Shroud

The Aether Shroud field upgrade is unlocked by reaching account level 48. Players who want to quickly reach high levels are encouraged to play the co-op campaign and dip their toes in its Endgame mode for some quick account and weapon XP.

Effects Phase into the Dark Aether and become temporarily hidden from enemy detection.
Required Level Level 48

All Aether Shroud Augments

Augment Type Effect
Afterimage AugmentAfterimage Major Augment Distract Normal and Special Enemies with a Dark Aether clone of yourself.
Void Sheath AugmentVoid Sheath Major Augment Swap to your Dedicated Melee weapon as it’s imbued with Dark Aether energy. Kills extend the Aether Shroud duration.
Burst Dash AugmentBurst Dash Major Augment Warp forward a short distance, killing all Normal Enemies in your path.
Group Shroud AugmentGroup Shroud Major Augment Nearby allies are also cloaked.
Extra Slot AugmentExtra Slot Minor Augment Equip a second minor augment.
Impulse AugmentImpulse Minor Augment Deal Shadow damage to nearby enemies on activation and gain increased movement speed while active.
Extension AugmentExtension Minor Augment Aether Shroud duration is significantly increased.
Extra Charge AugmentExtra Charge Minor Augment Increase max charges by one.
