Talk to Ermion
Talk to Ermion inside a cave in the eastern part of Ard Skellig, west of the Gedyneith signpost. He will join your army instantly.

Complete Hjalmar and Cerys’ Side Quests You must then complete both Hjalmar and Cerys’ side quests, The Lord of Undvik and Possession, respectively. Both are unlocked after completing The King Is Dead – Long Live the King main quest. Note that saving Folan and Vigi during The Lord of Undvik will also have them join your army. |

 Help Resolve the Matter of the Succession to the Skellige Throne After completing both quests, you must resolve the succession to the Skellige throne by completing two more side quests: King’s Gambit and Coronation. In King’s Gambit, you must choose between Hjalmar and Cerys as ruler. Either choice leads to the same outcome for Brothers in Arms: Skellige, though siding with Cerys is considered the canon choice. |

 Talk to Crach Once all matters in Skellige are resolved, talk to Crach after the coronation. He won’t join your army, but he will gift you the Winter’s Blade. |

 Talk to Cerys Talk to Cerys as well after the coronation. Regardless of whether she is the ruler or not, she will not join your army but will happily recommend her brother Hjalmar. |

 Talk to Hjalmar Finally, talk to Hjalmar, who will join your army whether or not he is the ruler. |
