How to Unlock In Wolf's Clothing

You can unlock this quest by finding the notice Contract: Morkvarg on the Notice Board in Larvik or by asking about Morkvark during the quest Missing Persons to start the quest. If you did not do either of the two, you can start the quest when you encounter Morkvark during the quest Nameless in Freya's Garden.

This quest is not failable.

In Wolf's Clothing Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Talk to the Preistess Josta in Lofoten for more information on Morkvarg and Freya's Garden. Ask about the curse and what Morkvarg is to find out about Einar.
2 Talk to Einar for more information. He is located along the shore north of Larvik.
3 Head to Freya's Garden. On the north eastern side there will be water gates and levers to control them. Open the third gate and swim through it to get to the underwater cave.
4 You will a pile of bones next to a chest. Loot the bones to find the key.
5 Head back to the center of the garden and use the key to open the chapter house doors. On the left door you will find Morkvarg's Journal. Read it.
6 Go back to Einar and talk to him again. You can end up fighting him right away before finding out how to lift the curse. Or find out how to lift the curse then either convince him to give the cursed fang or kill him for the fang.
7 Head to Morkvarg's cave located next to the water gate controls.
8 Fight Morkvarg (a Werewolf) and beat him to calm him. Give him the cursed fang to lift the curse and receive 80 XP. If you were not able to get the cursed fang, you instead will have to feed him werewolf meat to kill him. Lifting the curse that way will give you 50 XP and the Salmian brigandine. You can get the werewolf meat by looting his body after beating him without lifting the curse.
9 If you lifted the curse with the fang, you can choose to fight Morkvarg and kill him or ask him for a reward. If you fight him and kill him, you will receive 85 XP. If you asked for a reward, you will receive 80 XP and will have a new objective directing you to a pawnshop in Novigrad for extra rewards.
10 Head back to Lofoten to receive your reward from Josta. You will be rewarded with 50 XP and 85 Crowns.
11 If you asked a reward from Morkvarg you can head to the Pawnshop located in The Bits in Novigrad for 50 XP, Deithwen, and Torn-out page: Werewolf decoction.

To find the key Morkvarg is looking for, you will need to open the third water gate and swim through it to reach an underground cave. The key can be looted from the pile of bones inside the cave.

Lift the Curse With the Fang

Morkvarg in human form
Choosing to lift the curse with the fang and ask for a reward from the Morkvarg will net you the maximum reward for this quest. If you do not like the idea of letting him live, you can kill him after asking for the reward.
