If you use Axii on the henchmen, both of them will let you and Ciri pass without having to fight them.
The second option will initiate combat with the henchmen, but the fight will immediately stop as soon as Ciri calls Geralt's name.
The best choice would be using Axii. It will avoid a fight and give you some extra XP.
Picking the first option will make Geralt threaten the thugs while Ciri backs you up. Doing this will make the thugs scared and leave the tavern of their own will.
The second option will immediately initiate combat with the three thugs. You will need to kill all three of them to progress.
The best choice would be scaring the thugs, it will avoid a fight.
You can choose to participate in the horse race or not. Either way, you will not receive any rewards from this horse race.
It would best to not race. It will save the player some time, as there is nothing gained from racing anyway..
You can pick either the first or second option about whether or not to steal the horses or not. This conversation does not allow you to buy the horses for them.
Agreeing to steal the horses will put you on a different path that will teleport you nearby the stables. You will have to do a few objectives in order to steal the horses before the quest ends.
Disagreeing to steal the horses will make you end up having a fist fight with Aegar and will make Ciri very upset. After this, the quest will end immediately.
It would make finishing the quest faster if you disagree to steal the horses.
