How to Unlock A Towerful of Mice
This quest will unlock after the player has finished the side quest An Invitation from Keira Metz.
Is A Towerful of Mice Missable or Failable?
This quest will fail once the player has started the main quest The Isle of Mist.
A Towerful of Mice Walkthrough
| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Take a boat and sail to Fyke Isle. |
| 2 | Land anywhere on the island. Beware, the island is swarming with Rotfiends and Ghouls. |
| 3 | Head inside the tower. You willl encounter a Water Hag right outside the tower. |
| 4 | Go up the stairs of the tower until you reach the top floor. |
| 5 | Pull the lever located next to bed. Enter secret door. Receive 100 XP for finding the secret lab. |
| 6 | You will see a glowing green spot in the corner of the room. Use the lantern and point it towards the spot. |
| 7 | You can choose to help Annabelle, or if you used the lantern on the dead body found on the third floor, you can refuse to help. You can also ask to look around and if you try to leave, the situation will end up the same as if you refused to help.. |
Agree to Help Annabelle

| 1 | You will receive Annabelle's remains. Take them to Graham. His hut is located west of Oreton. |
| 2 | Knock on his door. You will receive 300 XP for giving him Annabelle's remains to him. |
| 3 | Return to Keria. You will hear a scream coming from Garaham's hut after leaving it. You can choose to go back and see what happened. |
Refuse to Help Annabelle

| 1 | Fight Annabelle in her Plague Maiden form. Once her health is low enough the fight will end. |
| 2 | Tavel to Graham's hut. It is located west of Oreton. |
| 3 | Knock on his door. |
| 4 | Go back inside the tower. 2 Wraiths will attack you after you enter. |
| 5 | Climb up the stairs to the secret lab. You will earn 500 XP for reuniting the lovers. |
A Towerful of Mice Available Choices and Best Choice
Help Annabelle
Helping Annabelle will be an easier time. The player will only need to travel to Graham and talk to him. But in return the player will only receive 300 XP. Story-wise, Geralt lifts the curse, but inadvertently release a Plague Maiden into the land.
Refuse Annabelle
If you refuse to help her you will have to fight her in her Plague Maiden form. You will also have to fight 2 wraiths after bringing Graham to the tower. In return you will gain 500 XP. Story-wise Geralt would have lifted the curse and brought 2 lovers together. Even if it is in death.
Best Choice
The best choice would be to refuse Annabelle. It may be a bit tougher but you will be compensated with more XP and a "happy" ending.
A Towerful of Mice Tips and Strategies
All Ghost Spot Locations
There are 7 locations you can use the lamp on. They are indicated by a green glow. Using the lamp and watching the ghosts will give 50 XP each.
Outside
There are three spots you can use the lamp outside the tower.
- Outside to the right of the gate.
- The southernmost shore in the marked area.
- Behind the tower to the north.
Inside
There are 4 spots you can use the lamp on inside the tower.
- On the ground floor next to the stairs.
- In cellar next tot the south wall.
- On second floor next to the fireplace.
- On third floor in the right Bedroom. WIll give 100 XP instead.
Use Igni on the Plague Clouds
There are plague clouds on the island that will chase Geralt and damage him if he touches it. Use Igni or your silver sword to make them dissipate.
How to Fight the Plague Maiden
Using Specter Oil on your sword will help you deal more damage. The Plague Maiden will be its incorporeal form for most of the fight. The damage you deal with your sword will be significantly decreased while she is in her incorporeal form.
You will need to place down a Ydren trap and lure her into it. During the fight she will also send out plague clouds. The player can destroy them by using Igni or striking it with a silver sword.

Is A Towerful of Mice Worth It?
Completing this quest is required to be able to unlock the side quest A Favor for a friend and subsequently For the Advancement of Learning. In A favor for a friend you will be able to romance Keira and in For the Advancement of Learning you will be able to decide Keira's fate.
