How to Fight a Botchling

How to Fight

You can encounter this fight during the Main Quest: Family Matters. Fighting the botchling is like fighting an Alghoul. The best way to deal with a botchling is to keep casting the Axii Sign on it so it does not grow spikes and get enraged. When the botchling has grown spikes on its back, you should not attack it until you remove them by casting the Axii Sign on it or else you will suffer damage when attacking the botchling.

What Preparations to Make?

You should use your Silver Sword and coat it with Cursed oil to deal bonus damage to them. You hardly need to make any other preparations for this fight since you only need to use the Axii Sign do directly counter its strengths.

Special Sign Effects

  • Axii - You can cast this to stun them temporarily or to remove the spikes growing on its back to prevent it from blocking all your attacks and regenerating.
