We do not recommend spending points into Steady Shot

Do to its somewhat niche nature or lack of utility, we do not recommend investing into this skill. Generally speaking, your points will better be spent elsewhere. However, there are some builds that may make use of this skill, so only in those instances should you invest your points here.

This skill will only become useful if you regularly use your crossbow to deal damage. There are some very niche builds which revolve around the crossbow, but it is better to invest your skill points on other skill that give you greater benefits.

Conclusion

Unless you use your crossbow as your main source of damage, we do not recommend that you invest in this skill. Even if this skill is very cheap and easy to get, the damage of your crossbow early in the game is so low that it will hardly make a difference.
