This is a beginner's guide for Sand Land. Learn 11 valuable tips and tricks before you start Sand Land!
List of Contents
There are plenty of situations in the game where Beelzebub needs to use hand-to-hand combat, and won't be able to use any Vehicles or Ally Skills.
These are usually boss fights, and since you'll almost always be fighting with vehicles, it's easy to get caught off guard and simply button mash. To avoid this, it's a good idea to practice a few combos in advance so you have a fallback when you're thrown into a sudden bout of fisticuffs.
Outside of combat, you can recover your health by drinking water! Drink water by pressing the bottom directional pad or the G button. Refill both your health and water bottle by visiting a water supply point!
Beelzebub's water bottle also serves as a second health bar. Upon getting downed, Beelzebub will drink the remaining water in his bottle to revive himself. Always remember to keep hydrated!
How to Heal
As soon as you reach Spino, the netizens will have requests only you can do! You can find side quests by looking at gold question marks on the map and overworld. The netizens will reward you when you complete side quests and help people.
Apart from Zeni and EXP, helping the people of Sand Land will result in better living conditions and growth for the settlement, evidenced by new inhabitants and infrastructures. In turn, doing side quests unlocks more opportunities, NPCs, and quests for you to do!
All Spino Town Upgrades and How to Unlock
To make hand-to-hand combat more reliable, lock on to enemies by pressing the Right Stick or the E button! However, you cannot lock on to enemies while driving vehicles!
How to Lock on to Enemies
For most of the game, Beelzebub will mount different kinds of vehicles. Knowing how to maneuver and customize them is paramount to success in the Sand Lands, so test and personalize each one to find a vehicle that best suits each situation!
Always upgrade your vehicles and their parts when given the chance. You will come across an abundance of materials, and when upgraded, most parts scale later in the game!
It is recommended to upgrade the vehicles and chip slots before the parts to increase the customizability of the vehicle.
During combat, there will be hiccups that will put you at a disadvantage. Look to turn the tides of favor by using items. These items range from restoring your health to increasing the damage you deal!
Vehicular combat is the go-to in Sand Land, so always have Repair Kits on stock while exploring. Enemy vehicles also deal massive damage when they connect with their artillery, giving more reason to bring Repair Kits!
While beating your enemies to a pulp is a fun prospect, avoiding being pummeled is the way to go! To dodge, press the L2 or L+Ctrl button. Inputting a direction will change the course of the dodge, so look to take advantage of that!
Materials will be abundant during the whole course of your journey, in turn flooding your inventory. However, do not sell them unless their sole purpose is for profit. You will never know when you need a specific material for an upgrade or quest!
List of All Crafting Materials
Having extra Zeni and materials are the name of the game in Sand Land, and Thief can quickly fill up your inventory! Thief's skills are focused on making gathering efficient as possible, which just makes the game much easier!
Thief Best Skills and Profile Overview
Resting at campsites will pass time to either the morning or night while restoring your health and vehicles. If you need to finish a time-sensitive quest or want to respawn specific enemies, skip the time by resting at a campsite!
If you come upon a comically large chest during missions and dungeon raids, it will contain a vehicle part. Finding vehicle parts through these chests will let you avoid crafting for them, saving precious materials and Zeni!
