If you want to increase money gain, learn Zeni Ahoy on Thief's skill tree. Zeni Ahoy increases the money dropped from defeating enemies, meaning you gain more money just by playing the game as intended!
Early on, getting Thief's skills will make it easier for the party to have a surplus of materials and money, setting up a much smoother mid-late game.
Thief Best Skills and Profile Overview
During your expeditions, you might encounter unique variants of the local wildlife that have gem-like colors to them. If you were to defeat them, they would drop materials that are not used for crafting but instead used for selling.
Furthermore, ores like Silver and Gold follow the same principle! If you need a quick steal to buy a specific item, look to sell these gem-based materials and metal ores to any peddler or shop!
List of Enemy Drops: How to Farm
Completing side quests rewards you with a decent amount of EXP and Zeni upon completion. Upon doing a side quest, you will expand the horizons of Sand Land and potentially unlock more quests and opportunities for Beelzebub and his party!
While roaming Sand Land, you will often encounter poor souls harassed by Wannabe Junkers or local wildlife. Rescue these people, and they will reward you with a handsome amount of Zeni, often 300 Zeni per rescue!
Out in the deserts, some reputable misfits have bounties on their heads. Look to take a bounty, and you will gain a ludicrous amount of Zeni upon completion. Rewards often range from 1000-1500 Zeni per bounty, including vehicle parts you can use!
However, these bounties are not wanted for no reason! They are respectably difficult bosses that you need to maneuver around, so look to upgrade your vehicles, bring consumables, and strengthen Beelzebub's capabilities!

For the Hotkae region bounties, talk to Hunter found on Junker Market: Lisab for a list of bounties.
You will unlock bounties inside the convenience of Spino Town after finishing the Exquisite Cuisine side quest.
All Spino Town Upgrades and How to Unlock
You can earn a decent sum of Zeni if you participate in Junker Races, aptly labeled as checkered flags on the map! Along with Zeni, you will get different rewards based on the time you finish the race. Prove that you are worthy of being called a "speed demon"!
You can only participate in these races if you have the pre-requisite vehicle for that specific race, so some will be progress-locked until the later parts of the game.

If you want to race around Hotkae, talk to Heelu and bring a motorcycle or buggy!
You can equip a Talisman of Fortune to a vehicle of your choosing to increase the amount of Zeni dropped by enemies. When paired alongside Thief's Zeni Ahoy, the combo triples the amount of Zeni you usually get from enemies that drop gold!

You can find an early Talisman of Fortune inside a Grotto in the Legendary Spring.
Using Thief's Item Picker skill in Forest Land, especially on their ore veins, will yield materials worth a significant sum of Zeni. You can get an abundance of Silver and Gold ore (500 and 2500 Zeni respectively).
Furthermore, you will also get some of the late game crafting materials essential for upgrading your vehicles, adding more incentive to this tip!
The world of Sand Land uses Zeni as the main currency of its universe. With the right amount of Zeni, you can buy vehicle parts, furniture, consumables, and much more!
