Sunken Battleship Walkthrough (Battleship Defender Boss Guide)

Sunken Battleship Walkthrough

No.	Step-By-Step Walkthrough
1	Follow the quest markers across the map. You'll end up going far south. You'll be riding for a long time, so take the opportunity to spam Thief's Item Picker to grab materials as you pass, including occasionally the pricy Silver Ore and Gold Ore.
2	Eventually, you'll reach Junker Market: Rianda. Grab the Cluster Rocket Launcher upgrade for the Hopper in a chest, and buy the Battle Armor Blueprint 1 from the Peddler here.
3	Continue through the cave and after the cutscene, take the Hovercar across the water. Find the hole where you can enter the Sunken Battleship. At the end, use the Battle Armor to pull the block out of the way of the door, and continue into Rianda Battleship.
4	Switch to the Hovercar to go across the water. Ahead, push a block out of the way with the Battle Armor to continue.
5	In the next room, you'll need to find a battery block and place it on a platform to open a door. Continue ahead while fighting robots. The next room has another battery block on the first floor off to the side next to other blocks.
6	Continue ahead following the quest markers. Optional: There's a room with a fork where continuing the direction away from the quest marker will lead to a route with lots of containers breakable via the Tank. You can find some useful Parts here like the 7mm Machine Gun+ for the Battle Tank and the Hover Fuel Efficiency Chip for the Battle Armor.
7	Optional: When you get to the central round room, take the zipline across. Go east through the door and use the Jump-Bot to jump onto the container with yellow paint on top. Continue along a platforming course and at the end, you'll find the Salvo System for the Hoverscooter.
8	In the central round room, climb onto the boxes ahead to get to the middle ring. Continue through a sidescrolling segment and reach a room where you need two batteries; one is behind a moveable block.
9	In the next room where you need two batteries, they are on the other side of the block wall. To get them across the wall, hold and throw them over it with the Battle Armor (R2 → L2 → release R2 on PS).
10	Continue through the next sections until you reach the elevator. In the next room, take the zipline across and grab the Amored Legs in the chest nearby. In the water section, jump across the boxes and continue ahead. You'll reach a room with two more batteries needed; they are on the opposite end of the room. Push the moveable block to make a path and throw the batteries over the wall.
11	Continue ahead until you reach an elevator. Ahead, you'll start a boss battle with the Battleship Defender, so be sure your Battle Armor is fully equipped. Defeat it to get 900 EXP, 1,800 Zeni, and a Cannon.
12	After the fight, follow the quest markers until you reach the bottom. When you get close to the water, switch to the hovercar and ride over the water to the exit.

Battleship Defender

Your battle with the Battleship Defender should be easy, thanks to the Battle Armor's guard.

Anytime you see the Battleship Defender preparing an attack, hold Block (R2 on PS) to avoid getting damaged.

It stops for a while after it attacks, so use this window to sneak in a few punches to the Battleship Defender. Punch it repeatedly and aim to knock it down. Use your boost to get close to it when it's far away.

Rinse and repeat to win without much hassle.
