SAND LAND - Best Skills
Each playable character in Sand Land has personal skills that help Beelzebub during their journey, some of which are better than others! Read on to learn what the best skills are for each character, how to learn skills, and what skills are!

Beelzebub Best Skills

Best Beelzebub Skills
1. New Finishing Move
2. Aerial Evasion
3. Brace for Attack
4. Charged Attack
5. Enhance Weak Attacks

New Finishing Move

Press Right Click anytime during a light combo

Obtaining New Finishing Move allows Beelzebub to branch off to different combos depending on the situation. This skill is a safe combo engager that strings into damaging combos and can knock enemies into the air for charged attack setups.

Aerial Evasion

Press the evade button while in the air

With Aerial Evasion, you will gain the ability to evade in the air. This skill makes combos in the air safe by allowing you to cancel the end animations into a dodge! While simple, this skill trivializes fights by giving you leeway to be much more aggressive during hand-to-hand combat!

Brace for Attack

Press Space when knocked down

Brace for Attack removes the recovery time of a knockdown. This facet of Brace of Attack entails that you can reposition safely after the opponent's attack. During the opponent's recovery time, you can quickly punish the opponent by hitting you!

Charged Attack

Hold Right Click

Charged Attack is the go-to combo-ender for grounded and aerial combos whenever Beelzebub knocks the enemy down. If charged, it deals the same amount of damage as a Trick. You can also use Charged Attack to punish enemies with long recovery times!

Enhance Weak Attacks

Boosts power of light attacks.

For the most part, Beelzebub deals damage through his weak attacks. Having Enhance Weak Attacks ultimately doubles the damage you do, ending scuffles more efficiently!

Item Picker

Destroy nearby rocks, trees, and cacti, and collect all available items in the vicinity.

Thief's strongest skill is Item Picker for the amount of utility it brings to the table. With this skill, you do not need to go out of your way to get materials; Thief will vacuum up materials around him in a wide radius!

Remember to use this regularly while on your travels and after battles. When you get back and check on your inventory, you can sell the extra materials for a quick cash grab!

E. Repair

Recover HP for Beelzebub's vehicle.

E. Repair is Ann's best skill since it is a reusable Repair Kit with a small cooldown. While simple, its potency comes from the fact that enemy vehicles deal significant damage. Repairing your vehicle on the go prevents you from visiting the game over screen.

Spoils of War+

Chance of obtaining additional items from multiple defeated enemies.

Getting the necessary amount of crafting materials for vehicle parts can be a painful process, but Spoils of War+ cuts down the amount of farming you need to do. This skill doubles the amount of materials an enemy drops, which helps lessen the grind for parts!

Zeni Ahoy

Increases the amount of money earned from defeating enemies.

Passive income does not technically exist in Sand Land, but Thief's Zeni Ahoy is essentially that! Every time you beat opponents that drop money such as Junkers, extra money will be included through Zeni Ahoy, which scales into the late game.

Being one of Thief's earlier but impactful skills, Zeni Ahoy should be one of your first investments!

E. Maintenance

Repair breakdowns and other status effects for Beelzebub's vehicle.

As the game progresses, you will encounter vehicle breakdowns, and enemy vehicles will have the ability to inflict ailments. These include but are not limited to disabling your weapons and dousing your vehicles in flame.

E. Maintenance will give your vehicle a clean restart by removing all of these deterrents, bringing you back into the game!

Quick Reload

Instantly reload ammo for Beelzebub's vehicle, excluding option parts.

There is nothing worse than staring down an opponent while you are reloading. Quick Reload addresses this problem by finishing the reload as soon as you activate the skill, so blast away!

VW: Decoy

When using Vehicular Warfare, Rao draws hostile vehicles toward his tank.

During vehicle combat, and for how it is a core aspect of gameplay, you will notice that enemies dish out high damage numbers. Having VW: Decoy will give you more space and help you avoid getting blasted by multiple vehicles, possibly trivializing the encounter!

How to Learn Skills

Learn Skills by Getting SP

To learn skills, you must spend SP on skills you want to unlock. Every time you level up, Beelzebub and the party gain one SP each. Open the characters tab after pausing, then pick the character you want a skill for. Select the skill you want to learn, then hold the confirm button to get the skill.

Assign Active Skills

SAND LAND - Assign Skills
If a skill is in the active category, you will need to assign it to the skill ring. You can only assign four active skills into the skills ring, so choose your skills carefully!

What are Skills?

Character-Unique Abilities

Skills are abilities unique to each character that the player can use to aid their journey. Some of our ragtag adventurers have these skills due to their innate nature, but some of these skills they will learn throughout their treacherous journey into Sand Land!
