Story Walkthrough: Calm Lands / Mount Gagazet (Chapter 11)

This is the Story Walkthrough for Chapter 11 (Calm Lands / Mount Gagazet) of Final Fantasy X (FFX, FF 10). Read on for more information about objectives, and bosses within this section.

Chapter Objective

Objective
1	The Calm Lands
2	Head to the Al Bhed Settlement in the center of the Calm Lands.
3	After the scene at the settlement. Head to the northeastern part of the map.Prepare for a boss battle.
Boss	Boss fight Defender X
4	Move forward then after the scene, prepare for a boss battle.
Boss	Boss fight Biran and Yenke Ronso
5	Follow the mountain trail until you reach a savepoint. Prepare for a boss battle.
Boss	Boss fight Seymour Flux
6	Head to the next area for a cutscene.
7	After gaining control of Tidus, return to your room then head to the center table.
8	Follow the path until you reach the cave.
9	Head straight,until you reach the save point then head left.
10	Keep heading left, enter the lake. When in the lake only Rikku, Wakka, and Tidus are usable. Swim forward and ignore the Path to the right.
11	Swim forward to find the 1st trial, time your input on the third outer shield.
12	Head back to the save point to find new path forward.
13	Take the new path then left, take the path downards and swim to find the 2nd trial
14	2nd trial,send rikku to the green symbol and Tidus on the blue symbol
15	Swim back to find a new path to the left. Take it to exit the cave and a boss battle.

Calm Lands Sidequests

The Calm Lands are home to the Monster Arena and several other sidequests.

Monster Hunting

The Calm Lands is home to the Monster Arena. The Monster Arena is a sidequest that also covers most of the game's post game content. You will travel through out spira to capture enemies to recieve item rewards and unlocking strong fiends.

Belgemine

Belgemine can be found in the Calm Lands as well as the Remiem Temple. Belgemine is found south west from the Al Bhed settlement. Her Shiva has an HP nearing 15,000 HP. A single bout with bahamut is enough to defeat her with normal attacks and a mega flare finisher.

She can also be found in the Remiem Temple which can be accessed using a chocobo. For more information about Remiem Temple, see the link below.

Chocobo Trainer

The Chocobo Trainer is usually found south from the settlement. But she can also be found north western edge of the Calm Lands. The Chocobo Trainer is the key to obtain the Caladbolg and the Sun Sigil. For more information about the Chocobo Trainer, see the link below.

Chapter 11 Boss Fights

Boss Fight Defender X

A Boss Battle with extremely high attack and high durability. Also has access to a counter attack that deals a percentage of your health. For more information on how to beat Defender X, see the link below.

Al Bhed Primer Vol. XXIII

The Al Bhed Primer XXIII can be found in the eastern most edge of the Calm Lands.

Al Bhed Primer XXIV

The Al Bhed Primer can be found in the left side of Remiem Temple.

Sun Sigil

Cloudy Mirror / Celestial Mirror

Braska's Sphere

A Braska's Sphere can be found in Mount Gagazet.

Saturn Crest

The Saturn Crest can be found in the 3rd pillar to the left before reaching the caves to Zanarkand.

Lv. 2 Key Sphere

A Lv. 2 Key Sphere can be found behind the Al Bhed Settlement,

10000 Gil

10000 Gil can be found in the south eastern most area of the Calm Lands.

5000 Gil

5000 Gil can be found in the south eastern most area of the Calm Lands.

Mega Potion x2

2 Mega-Potions can be found on the upper left area after entering Gagazet's Mountain Trail.

Defending Bracer

A Defending Bracer can be found in Gagazet's Mountain Trail. There is a small path that leads to a higher ground with a treasure chest.

HP Sphere

An HP Sphere can be found beneath a path in Gagazet's Mountain Trail.

Lv. 4 Key Sphere

A Lv.4 Key Sphere can be found beneath a path in Gagazet's Mountain Trail.

Lv. 1 Key Sphere

The treasure chest appears after clearing the cave's 1st Trial.

Fortune Sphere

The treasure chest appears after clearing the cave's 2nd Trial.

Recovery Ring

Found in a treasure chest after taking the right path near the Savesphere inside Gagazet Mountain Cave.

Return Sphere

Found in a treasure chest after taking the right path near the Savesphere inside Gagazet Mountain Cave.
