・ Can aim for a maximum of 9999 x 16 damage in 1 turn (approx. 160,000 total damage).
・ The Red Mage can earn BP and pass them to the Ninjas, creating opportunities for continuous attacks.
・ Including a Spiritmaster ensures perfect durability and survival.

The best party setup for Bravely Default Remaster consists of two Ninjas, one Red Mage, and one Spiritmaster. Ninjas can unleash high damage with regular attacks by combining their Dual Wield job ability with the Sword Magic (Spell Fencer) job command.

The Red Mage can easily earn BP (Brave Points) with Revenge, and they can recharge allies' BP by using the Singing abilities One More for You and My Hero.

Since enemies in the late game have extremely fierce attacks, including a Spiritmaster with White Magic (White Mage) will cover the party's survivability and defensive aspects.

White Magic (White Mage)
Support Abilities:

Key Points for Setup
・Leveling up the Freelancer early is recommended because it learns abilities useful for exploration.
Learns the JP Up ability at Lv. 10, which increases Job Points (JP) by 20%.
(Don't worry about maxing it out; a small increase in job level is enough for now, as full mastery takes time.)
・In the Prologue, it's recommended to set plenty of Black Magic as your Job Command, as many enemies weak to Fire and Thunder appear together.

It is recommended to level up the Freelancer job as it has useful abilities like Divining Rod and Dungeon Master that are helpful when exploring dungeons.

Since there are many enemies that are weak to Fire and Thunder, setting Black Magic as your Job Command will help immensely.

Level Up Freelancer to Learn Abilities Useful for Job Development

Freelancer Ability to Learn Later
JP Up
(Learned at Lv. 10)
Increases Job Points gained by 20% (self only). This effect stacks with the Growth Egg accessory.

Aim to level up the Freelancer job from time to time until you reach Level 10 in order to get JP Up. This is helpful when grinding for JP in the future.

・Knights can wield two-handed weapons and exert high damage with their abilities.
・Black Mages and White Mages should be able to use both types of magic.
・Thief can have an easier time stealing with the Freelancer ability Prayer.

Knights can simply increase their damage by having the Two-Handed skill which doubles the weapon's when heavy weapons are held in both hands, while Thieves can steal from enemies which is helpful during the early game due to your low amount of money.

Have a Black Mage and White Mage to have magic damage from your group while also sustaining yourselves with healing magic like Cure.

・The Time Mage prioritizes support but can also deal damage with Quara.
・By using summons and Black Magic, it's possible to exploit most weaknesses.

Use Spell Fencer and Ranger to exploit enemy weaknesses like the elements they are weak to or what species they are.

Time Mage is a great support to have as they can slow down enemies or increase the speed of allies which is beneficial in battle.

・Thief exerts high damage when using Sword Magic. They can deal up to 9999 damage with Godspeed Strike after increasing your speed and imbuing an element the enemy is weak to.

In Chapter 3, a party formation of two Performers is ideal as they can buff the party and stack it resulting to a better performance in battle.

After buffing, use the Thief's Godspeed Strike to deal a massive amount of damage that can reach 9,999 against enemies.

Chapter 3 Walkthrough

Use One More for You to Give Allies BP

One More for You is a level 3 Performer skill that raises a target's BP by 1. Once you have buffed your allies, you can increase the number of actions your allies can take by giving them BP so they can deal a succession of high damage attacks.

Since most jobs are available in Chapter 4, if you are having trouble with the rest of the game, we recommend forming a party with two Ninjas, Red Mage, and Spiritmaster. A Ninja strengthened with Sword Magic and Singing can produce high damage.

You can also earn BP by using the Red Mage's Revenge, or give your team BP with the Performer's One More for You or My Hero which will allow you to use Brave many times.

When facing fierce enemy attacks, it is a good idea to use the Spiritmaster's Spiritism to endure and recover in the meantime.

Tips for Party Composition

A Balanced Party
KnightKnight
Attacker
Black MageBlack Mage
Attacker
Time MageTime Mage
Support
White MageWhite Mage
Healer

When forming a party, it is important to balance attackers such as Knights and Black Mages, supporters such as Time Mages , and healers such as White Mages .

Enemies often use a variety of attacks using Brave and Default abilities, so make sure you're prepared to fight in any situation.

Use More Attackers When Grinding for Exp

It is fine if you fill your team with more attackers when you are grinding for experience points. Since your team is mostly attackers, spam Brave to defeat enemies within one turn.

Use Compatible Abilities to Optimize of Your Job

Setup for Thief
NinjaNinja Job Command:
Sword Magic (Spell Fencer):
It is possible to make up for the low attack of the Thief. The benefit of the increased firepower of the Magic Sword is great, and you can become the main attacker.
Support Abilities:
Speed 10% Up (Thief Lv. 3)
Increases the power of Godspeed Strike as the faster you are, the stronger that ability is.

When forming a party, it is important to make the most of the strengths of each job. For example, Setting Sword Magic as the Job Command to a Thief will let it deal high firepower as you can imbue elements to your weapon.
