Increase Your Encounter Rate
In Bravely Default, you can change your encounter rate setting up to 200%. This means that you will encounter enemies more frequently if you set it this high up.
Change Your Encounter Rate to 400% by Unlocking a Special Item
Once you reach Chapter 2, you can play one of the two new minigames to earn tokens which you can use to buy a special item that will increase your encounter rate up to 400%.
Use Lure Enemy to Double Encounter Rate
When you reach level 12 as a Freelancer, you can unlock the ability Lure Enemy which doubles the encounter rate when this ability is equipped. Note that this does not stack when other similar abilities are equipped, so you don't have to raise encounter rate if you have this equipped.

Achieve Combat Bonus to Increase EXP and JP
Aim for combat bonuses to increase your JP and EXP after a battle ends.

Spam Brave on Weaker Enemies
When facing regular enemies that are slightly weaker than you, spam Brave on all your party members and deal devastating attacks against the enemies to defeat them within one turn. Defeating them within one turn increases the EXP you get so make sure to utilize Brave when facing mobs.
Raise the Accessory Shop Level Up to Level 10
If you want to double the amount of EXP that you get, you should prioritize upgrading the Accessory Shop when rebuilding Norende up to level 10 in order to get the Growth Egg.
The Growth Egg is an item that doubles the amount of EXP that you acquire, so it is ideal for people who want to make grinding more efficiently.

Fight Close to Adventurers
While grinding for EXP and JP, make sure that you are close to Adventurers so you can heal quickly when your health is in a pinch during grinding.

Reach Level 7 Before Ruins of Centro Keep
We recommend on leveling up your characters on the field until they reach level 7 before going to the Ruins of Centro Keep to fight Ominas. Make sure to heal at the inn on Caldisla since it is free.
You will have an easier time fighting Ominas this way if you are level 7 or higher, so make sure to take your time grinding.

Use Thunder on Lontano Villa
Once you defeat Ominas, you will gain the Black Mage job asterisk in which you can use different types of Black Magic. Buy Thunder at the store to learn it and go to Lontano Villa to fight the enemies there that are weak to said spell.
This is another efficient way to level up quickly during early game.

Complete All the Side Quests in Chapter 5 Onwards
During the course of Chapters 5 until 8, there will be side quests that involves you fighting asterisk holders whom you fought in previous chapters. It is recommended to do all these side quests even if they repetitive in order to get the EXP to level up.

Hunt Rafflesias in Witherwood During Chapter 5 and Beyond
If you want to grind for JP, hunting Refflesias in Witherwood during Chapter 5 onwards is very efficient as they give a high amount of JP.

Use Conjurer When Grinding
Conjurer is a late game job that is very strong for grinding as it has the ability Obliterate (obtained at Level 9) that instantly kills enemies that are 20 levels lower than you at the start of the battle, making it an efficient way to grind at this stage of the game.
