Jumps off the screen and after 2 turns deals 4 times the damage of a normal attack to all enemies (6 times if equipped with a spear). Damage varies depending on the number of enemies. You cannot be attacked by enemies while jumping.
Aerial
(Lv 12)
Allows Jump, High Jump, Super Jump, and Sky High to keep you airborne for one more turn than usual and deal 1.5 times the normal damage. All moves except Sky High cost 1 additional BP.
Sky High
(Lv 13)
An ability that further increases the damage dealt during the turn you are airborne with Jump. By enhancing its power, it becomes easier to achieve a one-hit kill.
Crescent Moon
(Lv 1)
A command ability that strikes all enemies at once. It is particularly valuable for jobs with limited options for physical area attacks and is highly effective when aiming to whittle down a large number of enemies simultaneously.

Jump Avoids Damage and Deal a Powerful Blow

The Valkyrie is a high-powered job that avoids damage while airborne with Jump and delivers a devastating strike upon landing. By enhancing Jump’s power through abilities such as Spear Lore and BP Skill Amp, you can evade strong enemy attacks mid-air while ensuring a decisive counterattack. Depending on how you manage your BP and combine sub Job Commands, the Valkyrie can serve as an ace attacker that combines overwhelming attack power with survivability.

How to Play the Valkyrie

Pierce the Enemy with an Attack from Above

The Valkyrie is a physical attacker who specializes in spears and has high attack power. Its greatest appeal is the ability to use jump abilities to launch powerful blows from the air.

When using Jump, High Jump, or Super Jump, you will fly up at the end of the turn you activate it. From the next turn onward, you will deal 2.5 to 4 times the damage of a normal attack. If equipped with a spear, the damage increases even further.

While airborne, you are immune to enemy attacks, allowing you to safely aim for high damage. This enables a combined offensive and defensive strategy, such as avoiding a powerful boss’s special attack and striking back in one decisive blow.

However, be aware that there is a delay in the timing of your attack until you land, so a fast enemy may act before you.

Increase BP to Increase Attack Chances

Many of Valkyrie's abilities consume BP to deal high damage, so when BP runs out, opportunities to attack become limited. To counter this, it's effective to use abilities from other jobs to increase BP or combine them with MP-consuming abilities.

For example, you can increase BP when hit by using the Red Mage's Revenge and recover BP with the Performer's One More for You, improving stability in long-term battles

1 Crescent Moon Type: Command
Unleash a physical attack on all enemies that deals the same damage as a conventional attack.
2 Jump Type: Command
Jump out of the screen at the end of the turn and then come hurtling down during the next turn, dealing two times the damage of a conventional attack. Note the damage is tripled if a spear is equipped.
2 Land Type: Command
Land is associated with jumping, a failed Jump will return the user to their original position due to the lack of a valid target.
3 Spear Lore Type: Support
Raise arms aptitude for spears to S.
4 Judgement Type: Command
Deal three times the damage of a conventional attack to one target.
5 Spirit Barrier Type: Command
Become impervious to damage for ten turns by sacrificing MP equal to 10% of the damage you suffered.
6 Soul Crush Type: Command
Reduce one enemy's MP by 10% of the damage dealt by a conventional attack.
7 BP Skill Amp Type: Support
The BP cost of abilities activated by BP use rises by one, but the damage they deal also increases by 1.5 times.
8 Decimate Type: Command
Allies and enemies with 10% or less HP remaining will each suffer damage equal to their own remaining HP.
9 High Jump Type: Command
Jump out of the screen and come hurtling down in the next turn, dealing three times the damage of a conventional attack. Note that damage is increased 4.5 times if a spear is equipped.
10 Pierce Default Type: Support
Your attack's damage will not be reduced by the target's Default state.
11 Soul Mates Type: Support
Physical attack and magic attack each rise by 25% for five turns each time an ally suffers a K.O. The upper limit for P.Atk and M.Atk is 150%.
12 Aerials Type: Support
The number of turns in the air during jump-type abilities increases by one turn, and the amount of damage dealt rises by 1.5 times. Note that the BP cost also rises by one, except for with Sky High.
13 Sky High Type: Support
Begin the battle in the air and come diving down to attack on the first turn, dealing double the damage of a conventional attack to one enemy. Note that damage is tripled if a spear is equipped.
14 Super Jump Type: Command
Leap off the screen; two turns later, come down with an attack that deals 2 times normal damage to all enemies. Note the damage is tripled if a spear is equipped.
