2 | Find Zatz |
When you regain control of your character, go up the staircase to the north. Enter the next area. After the scene you will see Zatz in front of the Armory Shop. Talk to Zatz. | |
3 | Talk to the Tavern Proprietess |
Head inside the Tavern and talk to the Tavern Proprietess. Watch the scene where your next destination will be determined/established. Before leaving, stay at the Inn to replenish your HP and MP, and buy anything you need at the shops. |

From the Grandship, sail westward to get to the peninsula. After the scene, exit the House by the Sea. Proceed southwest until a scene starts. Once you regain control of your character proceed to Eisen Bridge, it is the large structure to the left of the gate. A conversation with Daniel Gooodman Commander of the Shieldbearers will play out. Finish watching the scene then leave Eisen Bridge. |

Head further west to find Hartschild. Enter the town. Explore and buy anything you need from the shops. From the entrance, head north and enter the Goodman Residence. A long scene will play out. After the scene, exit Hartschild. |

Upon entering Eisen Bridge, the party will have a conversation with the commander about their plan to help the Shieldbearers. After watching the scene, exit and head for Grapp Keep. |

Make your way towards Grapp Keep, located to the northeast of Eisen Bridge. The closed gate to the right beside Eisen Bridge is now open. Go through the gate and follow the dirt part until you reach a fork in the road. Proceed to the right path and then the right path again to find the keep. | |
2 | Go to the 2nd Floor |
Enter the keep and move towards north from the entrance. Once there, a scene will play out. The first switch in the first floor is at the center of the area, just past the bars beside the staircase nearest to the entrance. Take the path to the east and pull the switch to open the locked gate. | |
3 | Open the 2F Gate |
Enter the area beyond the gate and take the stairs to the second floor. The next switch is quite visible at the wall to the right. Pull the switch then head back down to the 1F. | |
4 | Head to the 3F |
Go up using the stairs nearest to the entrance, then enter the gate that you opened. Take the left stairs up to the 3F. | |
5 | Find the Source of the Toxic Mist |
Upon entering the 3F, there will be a scene. After watching it, take the right path, then another scene will play out. When you regain control, head south and take the stairs down to the 2F. Take the left path and pull the switch at the end of the passage. Head to the northeast area of the 2F and head down the stairs there to the 1F. On the 1F, pull the switch to open the gate. Head to the center of the first floor then take the stairs near the entrance to go up to the 2F. At the second floor, head south and take the stairs behind the gate up to the 3F. Once at the 3F, head north and save your game with the Adventurer. Continue heading north towards the shelf with a shining light. Interact with the light and a scene will play out. | |
6 | Defeat the Automatons |
After inspecting the shining object, an alarm will go off. Three Automatons will appear. They are the boss of the dungeon. The Automatons have high HP, but they are weak to lightning. They will mostly use Rocket Punch which will damage your whole party. Make use of Thundara and Thunder Sword Magic to target their weakness. |

After defeating the Automatons, make your way back to Eisen Bridge and watch the scene with the commander. Your next task is to go to the Mythril Mines. |

From Eisen Bridge, enter the gate to the left and follow the dirt path until you reach a fork in the road. Go left until you reach the mine nestled in the mountain ranges. Upon entering the mine, a scene will play out. After which, you will face an automatic fight with a Black Blades Mercenary. | |
2 | Free All 20 Canary Boys |
From the entrance, head straight to the left. Fight the Black Blade Mercenary guarding there to free four children. After the fight, head southwest to find the next mercenary. Defeating him will free two children. From this point onwards, each mercenary has two boys captive. The next mercenary is to the west of the mine. The last mercenary in B1 is southeast of the mine, at the end of the path. This makes only 10 more children to be rescued. | |
3 | Free the Remaining 10 Canary Boys |
Head down the stairs to B2. From the stairs, head east to fight a mercenary guarding there. From where you are, head north to find the next mercenary. Head to the central path of the mine, then go south to find the third mercenary. Go back to the central path again then head northeast to find the fourth mercenary. From where you are, go to the left path and head south all the way down to southwest to find the last mercenary. | |
4 | Head to the Mine Entrance |
After defeating all the Black Blade Mercenaries in B1 and B2, return to the mine entrance. Upon exiting, a Canary boy will inform Tiz that one of them has been taken to the Swordbearers' stronghold, Starkfort, and ask for help. |

After exiting the Mythril Mine, head east through the gate. Follow the dirt path then go north, and take the northwest path until you reach Starkfort. There is a merchant to the east at the outside area of the fort. Buy anything you need. The Adventurer is also near the merchant, so you can save before entering the fort. | |
2 | Find the Captive Boy |
From the entrance, head northeast on the 1F and take the stairs up to the 2F. From there, head south until you find the captive boy, Egil. After speaking with him, return to the exit. |

After rescuing Egil, take him to Hartschild. Head to the Goodman Residence. When you regain control after the scene, follow Egil to the southwest of Hartschild. | |

When you regain control after the scene, follow Egil to the southwest of Hartschild to talk to him. After the events, make your way to the Mythril Mine once again. |

Head inside the mine and proceed down to B2. Move north until you reach the door near where the Adventurer was standing when you first visited the mine. Watch the scene then enter the door. |
1 | Find the Way to the Temple of Fire |

The Underflow is an area where there are patches of lava, which seem to turn on and off, littered on the ground. Stepping on the lava while they are lit hot red will cause you damage. Wait until they turn black before walking on them. From the entrance, head west then up north and then west again to find the stairs. Go up to the 2F East. On the 2F East, from the staircase, head west until you reach the second path to the south. Proceed southward to reach the end of the path where the stairs to the next floor is. Go up to the 3F. On the 3F, from the staircase, head north unitl you see the second turn to the left. Go left and keep going west then go north to find the stairs. Head down to the 2F West. On the 2F West, from the staircase, head west until you reach the third path leading south. Proceed south, then turn left. Continue west until you reach the stairs. Go down to the 1F West. Once at the 1F West, head to the location marked on your map. A scene will play out. |

After the scene, from where you are, head north towards a lighted up space between two rocks and enter it. |
1 | Learn Promethean Fire |

The Temple of Fire is a fairly straightforward area. Before heading to the crystal, it's best to first learn a useful skill. Equip Flame Charms and the Iceflame Shield you obtained from the chest in the southeasternmost area. Then, head to the room to the left next to the area where you got the Iceflame Shield. Talk to the anchorite of fire. Choose the dialogue option 'I do', and he will test you. If you withstand the Promethean Fire, you will learn it. |

2 | Defeat Chaugmar |
After seeing all the events in the area, save and shop with the Adventurer. Keep the Flame Charms and the Iceflame Shield equipped. When you're done with your preparations, head to the crystal. After the scene, you will need to fight against the boss of this dungeon. Chaugmar has a very high HP. When it is surrounded by a purplish shield, it is resistant to all kinds of attacks. When it's in this state do not attack it, instead make use of your turns by stacking up BP with Default and buffing up your party. Look out for Heart Suck which will take your BP for itself and Soul Suck which will take your MP. Chaugmar will be out of the shield when he releases Energy Blast, which can cause a large damage to the entire party. After this attack, use your stored up BP to heal and deal damage to Chaugmar. It is weak to lightning so hit it with Thundara and Sword Magic. |

3 | Release the Fire Crystal |
After defeating Chaugmar, release the Fire Crystal by repeatedly pressing X until Airy tells you to stop. After the scene, head out. When you reach B2 of Mythril Mine, a scene will play out. Exit Mythril Mine and go to | |

After the scene, head out. Upon reaching B2 of the Mythril Mine, another scene will play. Exit the Mythril Mine and go to Eisen Bridge. |

Finish watching the scene. Go up the stairs and head up to the northernmost part of the ship. Once inside the Bridge, a scene will play out. You find out that to get to the Engine Room you need an orichalcum, which Egil has. | |

Leave the Grandship and head for Caldisla. |

Make your way to the Grandship's Bridge once again. Now that you have the orichalcum ore, you can now head to the Engine Room. Upon entering the Bridge, a scene will play out. | |
2 | Trigger the Switches in the Engine Room |
After the scene, you will be in the Grandship's Engine Room. On B27, head east then south, and then go west. Take the stairs down to the next area. On B28, head north then go right, and then turn right again until you reach the stairs. Take stairs the up to B27. Once in the closed off area of B27, head east and pull the switch. Go back to B28. On B28, take the southwestern stairs back to B27. On B27, take the southeast stairs to get to the next area of B28. Once in the closed off area of B28, head north then take the stairs down to B29. On B29, from the staircase, head all the way to the west until you reach the second path leading south. Proceed south then turn right to the second path to the sound to reach the stairs. Head up the stairs to B28. On the third area of B28, head north and take the stairs up to B27. On the third area of B27, head east and pull the switch. Take the south stairs back to B28. And on B28, take the stairs back to B29. On B29, head to the northeast stairs to get back to B28. On B28 head south until you reach the end of the path where the stairs is. Take the stairs up to B27. You are back on the first area of B27. You can now pull the switch to operate the lift. |

3 | Check What's Wrong with the Grandship |
Enter the lift. It will take you to the Engine Room Core. Head south, then west. At the intersection you will see the Adventurer. Save your game. Take the right at the intersection, then head north. After the scene, there will be a boss fight. | |
4 | Defeat Behemoth |
Behemoth boasts high HP and strong Physical Attacks. Its Roar damages the entire party and inflicts Silence, while Venomous Bite targets a single enemy and applies Poison. Toothy Rend deals 1500+ damage to a single target. Fortunately, Behemoth is weak to lightning—capitalize on this by using Thundara and Spell Sword Magic. Additionally, items that deal flat damage can be effective in chipping away at its HP. After defeating Behemoth, a scene will play out. | |
4 | Head to Eternia |
Finish watching the scene. The Grandship is actually an airship. It can now travel by flying. Head to Eternia to end Chapter 3 and begin Chapter 4. |

Kunai | Inside the Goodman residence, go up the staircase and enter the left room. The chest is below the painting, hidden from view by a wall. |

X-Potion | From the entrance of the keep, head to the southwest corner of the first floor to find the chest. |

Turbo Ether | After pulling the first 2F switch, head back down to the 1F using the staircase to the north. Pull the switch to open the second locked gate of the 1F. Head back up to the 2F and go down again using the south staircase. Enter the opened gate to find two chests, one is locked and the other contains a Turbo Ether. |
Genji Armor (Locked) | Beside the Turbo Ether chest. Note that locked chests can be unlocked during Chapter 6 after getting the key. |
Glaive | Go down the 1F using the staircase to the north of the 2F. The chest is at the northernmost area of the 1F. |
Rebuff Locket | From the stairs you took to get to the 3F, take the left path and head south until you reach the end of the passage where the chest is. |
Elixir | At the southeast corner of the 3F, there is a hidden path beside the stairs. Move south then head west until you reach the end of the path where the chest is. |
Bomb Fragment | From the 3F, use the southeast stairs to get down. Head north then go right. |
Bacchus's Wine | From the Bomb Fragment Chest, continue to the north path and then to the left. |

X-Potion | From the entrance, head straight to the left. You can open the chest after defeating the Black Blade Mercenary guarding it. |

Flame Charm | From the Turbo Ether chest, head west then go south. |
X-Potion | On the 3F, from the Flame Charm chest, head north then go left, and head south. When you reach the junction, head south again. The chest is at the end of the path. |
Diamond Staff | On the 2F West, from the northeast stairs, head west then south. At the junction take the right path, then continue south until you reach the end of the path. |
Flare Hatchet | On the 2F West, from the northeast stairs, head west until you reach the third path leading south. Continue going south, then at the second junction turn right, and then head north up to the end of the path. |
Gale Bow | On the 2F West, from the Flare Hatchet chest, head south then go west until you reach the second path leading north. Head north to the northwesternmost part of the area to find the chest at the end of the path. |

Flametongue | From the entrance, go a bit north then head west to the first left path. After which, head south to find the chest. |
Ice Flame Shield | From the entrance move a bit north, then head east until you reach the third path leading south. Head south and enter the area where the chest is. |
Turbo Ether | From the entrance, head north then go east. It is the third room to the north, next to the room where there was a scene. |

Antarctic Wind | On B27, from the entrance, head east then south, and then go west. When you see the stairs, go north up to the end of the path to see the chest. |
Turbo Ether | On B28, from the stairs go east then south. |
Gold Hourglass | From the Turbo Ether chest, head back towards the southwest stairs then go north. Turn right, north, then left and then south. |
Cross Axe | In the second area of B28, from the southeast stairs head north, then go left, and then south until you reach the end of the path where the chest is. |
2000 pg | From the Cross Axe chest, head north then west up to the end of the path. |
Brave Shoes (Locked Chest) | On B29, from the northeast stairs go south, turn right and then north. |
Trident | On B29, from the northeast stairs keep heading south. When you reach the intersection, go left. |

Raikiri | From the Hammer Mace chest, move north then west. Go north again, then south, and then head east until you reach the the end of the path. Take the last turn leading to south to find the chest. |
Bacchus's Wine | From the Raikiri chest, move north, then east until you reach the the end of the path. Take the last turn leading south to find the chest. |

Arctic Wind | From the entrance of the Engine Room Core, head north then go right. Follow the path south up to the end to see the chest. |
