Ability (Learning Level) |
Reason for Recommendation |
---|---|
Twilight (Lv 5) |
Instantly kills all sleeping enemies and allies. |
Exterminate (Lv 3) |
This ability deals high-multiplier dark damage to poisoned targets. |
Sacrifice (Lv 7) |
A support ability that consumes your own HP to greatly increase your magic attack power. It works well with other Ritualism abilities, making it easier to aim for high damage. |
Convergence (Lv 9) |
A support ability that turns group-cast magic into a single target and doubles the damage dealt. Combined with Interment, you can instantly increase your damage against a single boss. |
The Ritualism command offers abilities that deliver immense power when their conditions are met. For instance, Exterminate deals heavy damage to poisoned targets, while Iniquity targets foes with 1 or more BP.
However, these abilities are often ineffective against targets that don't meet their specific conditions. Therefore, it's highly effective to combine them with the Black Magic command from a Black Mage. First, use area-of-effect spells like Poison or Sleep to inflict those statuses on enemies, then follow up with a Ritualism attack.
The Arcanist is a high magic power job boasting exceptional Mind stats and the highest Intelligence among all jobs. This allows them to function as a powerful magic attacker or even provide support with healing magic.
Arcanists truly excel as high-firepower magic users, leveraging their top-tier Intelligence and Mind to decimate enemies with a two-pronged approach of Black Magic and Ritualism.
Their ultimate strategy involves inflicting poison or sleep on all targets, then unleashing abilities like Exterminate or Twilight for massive burst damage. By equipping abilities that enhance Black Magic, Arcanists gain the flexibility to handle even foes resistant to Darkness.
While the Ritualism command offers immense power, it has the drawback of only damaging targets that meet specific conditions, and it carries the risk of harming allies. Therefore, careful judgment is required when using it.
To overcome this, combine the Arcanist's Ritualism command with the Black Mage's Black Magic job command and the Group-Cast All support ability. This makes it easier to inflict poison or sleep on all enemies, allowing you to unleash Exterminate or Twilight to clear them out.
Furthermore, utilizing abilities that strengthen Black Magic, such as status ailment enhancements and Black Magic boosters, provides options against opponents with Darkness resistance.
By skillfully alternating between Ritualism and Black Magic, Arcanists can wield potent area-of-effect attacks and high-damage single-target strikes.
